Before Christmas they would have the annual free turkey giveaway. I'm sure alot of Torontonians have fond memories of the store. This is our visit before they closed the store. I made this video for myself before I started the channel.

My dad, Grandpa and I love getting bargains from bargain stores and yard sales and stuff. Sort of sad to see something like this close but great job capturing a lot of memories. Loved this.

Even though I've never been inside of Honest Ed's when I was on vacation in Toronto. Honest Ed's reminds me of a store we had in New York City called Job Lot Trading Company/The Pushcart or as my father called it The Pushcart, which had a basement , a main floor, and a second floor. The rest was used for storage I guess. The only difference is that Honest Ed's was much larger but Did not have the items displayed on Pushcarts. The building that The Pushcart was in is still standing but has been turned into apartments and has a CVS pharmacy on the main floor.

Thank you for stopping by ! It was 2 buildings joined together. They also own alot of the Theatres in Toronto and that's what the son was interested in. He had no interest in the store and ended up closing it.

Full view and like #95 from me! Yeah, it's always kind of sad to see a landmark business fade into history. A house that I lived in when I was very young in 1980 was recently plowed over to make room for a hardware store parking lot. Even though I'd not lived in that house for many years, I found its destruction to be quite depressing -- like a small piece of my own life was being lost forever. New births and newcomers to town would never know that a home once stood where now is nothing but parking spaces. :( Anyway, thank you for sharing, deadeyeXXX productions, and I wish you a great (and warm) Wednesday!

It's always sad to see stores close that hold a sentimental value in our hearts. It's like a chapter that forever closes. That just happened to my husband. A taco place his family used to go to and we would go to for fun closed. Super sad 😥TFS!
