I have to second the opinion, if the channel has to either go on hiatus for a while in roof of the family to heal, or, heaven forbid, it has to be shut down altogether, then that's what has to be done. I'm not going to get mad, I'm not going to get disappointed. And I fully agree with the guy that I'm replying to. We would prefer to see the channel stay up, we would love to see how your family progresses through what is honestly a very interesting family Dynamic with a father that goes on tour, and a mother that stays home. It's a side of the music industry that we honestly don't ever get to see. The dichotomy between home and professional life is simply amazing to see happen, but, a family is still a family. No matter what happens, no matter if the channel stays or goes, you've always got thousands upon thousands of fans that will be watching and listening. I'll still be bumping Earl Dibbles jr., singing city boy stuck with my twin girls, and I'll still be appreciative of everything that has come my way, even the bad things.

I cry watching this video cause I can just see the pain in y'all faces. Amber in the closet, Grangers's moments before taking the stage. I'm praying for you guys. And honestly grief counseling is the way to go. Keep with it, things can come up months and years later, give it time to process. #livelikeriv ❤️🙏🏼

I miss him so much too, Amber 😭 River had such an energy and spunk he added on here. His laugh was contagious and infectious, something I’ll always remember about him. 🚜🎈❤️ I think of you all everyday, I use to log on Instagram or KZfaq each morning after breakfast to see your beautiful family’s updates. I miss you all! I constantly pray for all of you 💗✝️

Amber and family, honesty is key. its okay to feel broken. its okay to be down but dont live there. stay there as long as you need but dont live there. River is the light of your life, he is with you when the winds blows, when it rains, when the light peeks through the trees. I am grieving a family member as well. Its not easy with the panic, the anxiety attacks, the what ifs? but, we have to live for them. we have to continue. ad hard as it is, as much as we dont want too, we have to continue life for them. love you guys so much.

I LOVE you Amber. I know I don't know you, but I think about you every single day. My son Jake reminds me so much of River. He's only 12 months old and he kept crying all night. I found myself getting frustrated and then I thought of you, and thought how Amber would do ANYTHING to hold her baby now, and I took him in my arms and held him all night. You are so strong and such an inspiration. I think you are an incredible mother and person. Live like Riv 🎈🎈

I watch story after story be posted on IG from fans pouring their heart out over their own grief to y’all. For them to have someone that they can feel a sense of security with I’m sure is healing for them. I can pray that it helps to heal y’all too.

I never comment on here, but my prayers go straight to y’all. I have 2 children also River is my middle daughter and 1 on the way, and time is consumed, also it shows me that to living life for our children isn’t paste by the age. Meaning that anything can happen at any moment. It’s hard to even write or comment due to a situation of children just playing and having a blast being kids. Kids aren’t kids anymore, but I try to raise my children country as I was and I feel like y’all were doing the same. My sorrows are for each of you like it’s my own. God bless yalls real true personal life because it means a lot to millions.

I also have gone through a horrible family tragedy. And I promise you, it does get better. You'll have your days that are tougher than others, but it DOES get easier. I know it's hard to even imagine that, but I promise you. And just remember that one day you guys will be reunited with River again. Until then, you must let yourselves live. Let yourselves be happy (when you're ready). That is what River would want.

Hold on to your faith. River is in your every step, he is all around you and your family watching you like the Guardian Angel he is. Don't be surprised if you get "hints" he is OK. Our loved ones who are with our Heavenly Father watch over us every single minute. God Bless and staying strong is harder than it sounds but you can do it.

I know what you guys are going through. My oldest son out of 3 boys passed away in 2007, he was 21 years old. I literally stayed in bed & depressed for awhile. I had to get put on antidepressants & sleep aid. But, as a family we decided to stay together. I understand the "waves" feelings that you mentioned, and it's okay to have "bad days". I wish you and your family the very best and pray God helps you all with the healing process. 🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸

Granger I saw you for the first time ever opening for Garth Brooks July 20th in Boise, Id. I was blown away by your wonderful performance. I also learned about your son Rivers loss the same night. I found your family’s channel yesterday in my KZfaq feed. Wow!!! Thank you for all of you being real. You and your wife are a true testimony of Gods grace. Praying for Gods love to hold you all together through this time in your journey.

Oh my goodness, I started crying so many times during this video. The lightening McQueen clips...😢😢😢 I wish I could send you guys a huge hug. It's nice to see Lincoln and London smiling. It must be so hard to put a smile on your faces. I can almost see how hard it is to smile on Amber and Granger's faces. It's definitely not the same smiles as before, 😞😞 but I hope you all can help each other heal and find some sort of happiness again someday. ❤❤❤ Sending prayers and virtual hugs.

I lost my daughter in September,,,I grieve every day of my life without her. No Mother can just suck it up all day every day. There is a void in life that is resonating. A hole in the world! I know how you feel for real. The pain is unmanageable, unending, and there is no expiration date on grief! Your other children have got to be so confused, hurt and frightened! It is going to take a long time for this wound to go away. I’m thinking God understand, and will guide you through the landline of life! Be courageous and strong, and know you are loved. ♥️🙏🕊

Grief is like waves, sometimes it is small, filled with gentle, sweet remembrances. Others moments of grief are waves of like a tsunami, that totally overwhelms us. In our family, we all experienced it at different times and different ways. The most helpful counselling for our youngest was grief art counselling. She had a very difficult time expressing the loss, and outwardly she seemed fine, but thankfully could express the grief she was internally expericing through her drawings. Much love and prayers.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Smith, tomorrow August 2nd would be my daughters 8t birthday... I know some say time will heal, but the struggle is real, and in th 1st few years I wanted to strangle people who say it gets better with time but as time goes on I see that the pain does not get better with time but my strength to handle it grows and grows. I am able handle myself and my life better now than I ever have before... I never thought that I could gain strength from feeling so vulnerable and broken inside... but my son and other daughters show me daddy still needs to be daddy even if his life is shattered like glass. I hope the entire Smith Family and friend circle can pull through these hard times and rough circumstances.. you all help so many people in life and when they go through rough time you are who they turn to... you are all modern day saints!

I lost my son a little over a year ago. Ride those wave mama and cherish those good days, because they are what will get you through those dark waves and be a reminder that there are moments of hope and joy. One year book of hope, is an amazing devotional. God bless y’all

I lost a military buddy 5 years ago. He is the one that introduced me to the Granger Smith world. That buddy was the greatest leader I have ever had. Every year for his birthday we go to your concerts. I have truly come to love the entire Smith family. This channel has made me laugh, cry, and truly grow as a person. Watching River grow I came to love and respect that little guy like he was a nephew of mine. The open mentality y'all hold to with this channel humanizes the celebrity factor. Words don't come close to expressing the sorrow I feel for your loss. I hold no inhibitions that y'all will continue this channel, with everything you are going through. But only hope you all know, there are many fans like myself that have come to love you all, as if you were my blood. I'll leave you with this final thought, through his grace and guidance we will come to know both pain and strength. It is threw his glory we find our will to rise each day. With nothing but love for you all. We have your 6 so you may move forward.

I did a grief share class after my Dad passed and it helped a lot. Hearing from others in different stages in their grief helped me tremendously. I love the Greatest Showman, such an awesome soundtrack. For me music helped a lot too!

The loss of a child is an unimaginable thing. Making it thru that is one thing, but getting up everyday and trying to put on a smile and taking care of your other children and remaining a family is a whole other thing that requires you to be very strong and from our family to yours our prayers are with you.
