Following my FIRST REACTION to Dimash, I took the moment to react to his rendition of Adagio, which is one of my all time fave pieces from Lara Fabian.
As you can see in the video, everything is obvious - but what do you think about the whole performance?

The looks of joy on your face is priceless. The thing that amazes me is that except for the end, he basically does exactly Lara Fabian's melody IN HER OCTAVE! and the big belt, where he takes the breath one measure before Lara, then holds it to the end. Both very effective and suited to each singer. The ending kills me- the arms on "no no no no no nooooo" .... the pure physical expression of the words' pain (plus technical benefits of transferring tension away from the larynx! Genius.) Thank you! You are fun.

Sorry, I use this comment because I can't start a thread, please Onur react to Dimash's new Music Video "Be With Me" coming out on April 2nd everywhere. Please! And don't know if anyone told you, but, no, Dimash did not win the competition. I love this version of Adagio, really love the Belting part.

Это была вторая песня Димаша, которую я услышала после СОС. Сказать, что я была в шоке, не сказать ничего. Такого накала страсти я никогда не слышала до этого. Я забыла, как дышать, а когда вспомнила, то просто заплакала от избытка эмоций. За последние два года я слушала ее несчетное число раз, но эмоции никуда не исчезают, и я буквально заставляю себя дышать, пока Димаш поёт. Спасибо за вдохновенную реакцию.

Да,всё сошлось в этом исполнении - красивая песня, космический голос ДИМАША , прекрасная аранжировка ,внешний образ ,мощнейшая подача ,необыкновенная харизма АРТИСТА и ещё уйма всего фантастического, от чего у всех,кто смотрит и слушает происходит такой взрыв эмоций, что невозможно оставаться спокойным ! Мурашки, слёзы , кожа дыбом ! Да,что там говорить,если даже у мужчин пробиваются слёзы ?!!! ФАНТАСТИКА, СУПЕР !!!!!

Lara Fabian is one of Dimash's idols and they both do a spectacular job of singing this very dramatic song...and I love Lara's version.but Dimash is just a one of a kind vocalist and I can't see how anyone is every going to outdo that boy!

When Dimash sings my heart wants to fly. It leaps from my chest and sails higher with every note he sings. Dimash “s voice is the sound of joy and despair his voice is the sound of the soul.

Dimash won this episode (6) - as did 1 (SOS) and 2 (Opera 2). In the entire competition (12 episodes) he took 2nd place.

Lara Fabian complimented him after this performance (2017). They are friends now and performed together too in song "Ti amo kosi" (2019) and she also wrote lyrics for his original song "Your Love" (2020).

Dimash on MTV in the USA holds the 1st place on the chart, and another Kazakhstan Imanbek won a Grammy, these are the citizens of Kazakhstan

Dimash will continue to need our voting support in order to keep his rightful place at the top of the MTV youtube channel Friday Livestream (EVERY Friday from 5-8 pm, New York time). All fans can simply tune and type REQUEST DIMASH as many times as possible in the chat during the three hour airing of the program. During the week we can vote for Dimash on Google Forms, Twitter and Instagram.

Hi Oz, Awesome reaction to Dimashs excellent cover of this song. I was going to say Dimash sang with Lara and Aida at the concert to celebrate Igor Krutoys 65th birthday (He has composed for them all) but everyone has already told you and given you the link, take a look its phenomenal. I have subscribed and hope that you follow your Dimash journey, Btw as soon as this episode aired on tv Lara contacted Dimash to congratulate him on his performance. He was invited onto the 'Singer 2017' competition as the wildcard and came second to Sandy Lam a well loved Chinese artist (its China !!) but his being on the show shot him to world fame so no worries. 👌👌👍👍😊😊

Oz, I like your reaction and appreciate it. I think that Adagio is next example that Dimash is giant of story telling. He grabs your attention, your heart and soul from the beginnig until the end. It is so nice watching your face and realising that my looks the same😊😊😊. I think that you have to know that there are some pieces of his art strctly connected with his country folk music. He not only sings kazakh songs but additionally uses and plays instruments typical for kazakh music. See for example performance of song Daididau where he plays dombra surrounded by dozens others dombra playrers. You can watch what does for Dimash his musical heritage means.

Probably different. Dimash version is more dramatic and emotional but Lara Fabian is more subdue. They are fans for each other but Dimash also grew with Lara Fabian’s songs. This is from The Singers 2017, a contest by invitation only for established, professional and well known singers. Unfortunately he didn’t win the whole contest but he won the whole nation instead. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and a stranger in China before The Singers. He is now one of the most popular foreign singer in China.

Dimash got 2nd in this competition. But the only reason is, that he is not Chinese. But that doesn’t matter. Because of this show he reached worldwide recognition. He is very grateful to the Chinese audience. That’s why he also performed many Chinese songs. This show was in 2017 (when he was around 23 years old). I discovered Dimash while I was watching Lara Fabien songs. Because I also love her very very much. And the great thing is, that both of the singers know each other, respects each other and also performed together. He sang songs from her and she sang songs from him. It’s so lovely. And I agree that Lara‘s Adagio is very special. If her Version is a 10 than Dimash‘s version is very close behind with a 9,9999 😂

One. Of the very best musical pieces ever. To be honest, I LOVE Lara for a longtime. But never been ok with her Adagio, don't know why. Started to love the song hearing this version of Dimash and the first year listening to his Adagio, I nearly always ended in tears. He has something very special what touches one's soul.

I subbed because I love your reactions to Dimash. He sings so many songs and will blow you away each time. Hello. Love is like a dream. He actually has a trio with Lara Fabian. Also Lara wrote the lyrics to YOUR LOVE. I hope you keep going down Dimash rabbit hole. He will be known in history as the Vocal King. He’s only 26. I feel blessed to have discovered him and hopefully to see him in concert.

I think you would love to see "Ti Amo Cosi" with Dimash singing with Lara Fabian & Aida Garifullina and Igor Krutoy on piano. It's a blast to watch you react to these wonders in music. You should also react to "Sinful Passion" by Dimash, and "Human" by Diana Ankudinova.

I have heard this song by 4 different artists/groups....Lara Fabian, Il Divo, Floor Jansen and of course Dimash. This by far is the best version in my opinion. He makes you feel every note, every word. I cry everytime I hear this version, so don't feel bad if you teared up a bit. This man has definitely won my vote as the best singer in the world! Great reaction!
