I love this song. Out of all the sins SM has committed, leaving that beautiful piano outro from the live performance out of the studio version is right up there. For me, when you see this live, it’s Baekhyun’s song. His playing is very physical and that, combined with his vocals, left such a big impression on me. One of my favorite EXO concert moments!

Oh, I really needed to listen to this song and when I saw your video notification, I was like WHAT? Oh man, this song is really heartwarming! There is something about the tone they chose or how to pronounce words and the fact that the lyrics are really simple and if you are into kpop and kdrama, you can already understand what they say, makes me really feel this love song much more than usual.

Las baladas de EXO te llegan realmente a tu ser, no importa que balada, sus voces transmiten lo que dice la canción, sus voces, el instrumental y la letra en si, son un conjunto que te atraviesa, muchos pueden cantar hermoso pero no cualquiera puede cantar y a la vez transmitir, por esto y muchas cosas mas fue una de las tantas razones de porque soy EXO-L

12:42 that shift between a major, more hopeful sound and into a more minor, melancholic sound is what sells the bittersweetness and longing the song is about. from the lyrics, it's clearly a love song, but one in which the narrator is helplessly, almost painfully in love with this person. To them they are everything, but without them they are nothing. And that potential for devastation should it all go wrong,makes the act of declaring one's love fraught. And yet, they do anyways, because the feeling is so strong, it compels them to. That's the vibe I've always gotten from this song, so just sticking to major chords, which sound complete and full and resolved, wouldn't be enough to convey that underlying hesitancy and fear like minor chords can, which tend to sound unresolved.

I can’t wait for reactions to their older songs. The lyrics to those are also so beautiful, like GirlxFriend, Peter Pan, Don’t Go, She’s Dreaming. Sure they’re about love, which some people don’t like, but still beautiful.

I dont like ballads at all, to me most of them sound boring. But THIS!!! This is an one of the few exceptions, maybe because i love Baekhyun so much :D In my Top 15 songs of EXO is only one ballad and its this one. I LOOOOOVE this song * - * And yes, the live version where Baekhyun plays the piano, is phenomenal.

The album where this song from is one of my favorite of all kpop groups And i think theres chen in the chinese version and probably lay too 🤔 its actually fun when exo were still divided into 2 teams since you can experience the same song done by different teams. but im not complaining of them being a one group. being debut exo-l at first when they were merged into one group its kinda weird since im not used to hear all of them in bsides. Just for fun actually i want you to listen to older bsides in korean and chinese version respectively 😁
