It finally clicked when I read the lyrics properly. So it's basically about how love can "bloom" through communication which in this case is through messaging each other. It's such a simple yet effective way of conveying these actions through a song. This is why I enjoy IU's music.

As what the op posted, it is about love blooming through text message, that’s why in the first scene it is shaking which symbolizes a phone vibrating. To add, when she is receiving things in the mail and also what is thrown at her from the other side of the wall it is all gray colored stuff, and everything she sends are color blue.

IU wrote these lyrics about texting between two people. The vibration in the beginning (as in phone vibrations), getting grey gifts and sending back blue gifts means exchanging messages thru iMessage. In the end of the MV, they finally decided to meet each other. P.S. When IU writes a song she really uses a lot of metaphor. She's insanely talented!!!

The lyrics is about the blooming relationship between two person over texting on iPhone her (blue speech bubbles) and the other person (grey speech bubbles). The earthquake at the start is the phone vibration saying there’s a new text, and the gifts are colored blue/grey like the speech bubbles! :) Love your IU reaction! Her debut song: Mia. Some amazing IU songs you should listen to are- through the night, dear name. PLEASE DO her 2017 MMA performance of these two songs. She won Album of the year for PALETTE and songwriter of the year in the same night!!! IU writes all her lyrics. She just shines so bright! Her performance was definitely the best that night even Jungkook and exo members was singing to it.

From her most recent album Love Poem, theres an MV for "Above the Time" too. "Lullaby" is a darker and sadder ballad. The lyrics to "Unlucky" is pretty good too! A few other sadder songs are: "by the stream", "dear name" and "ending scene", "full stop", "with a heart to forget you"

This MV is a representation of a cell phone message window. For example, an earthquake is an expression of a cell phone vibrations. And a man's message or gift is gray, and IU's message or gift is blue. IU thought it was the hottest right before the romance began. like flowers in full bloom, so many millions of roses are thought they could bloom. she can do bluemiang like bloomlng. The mv shows men and women exchanging messages, and the last time a balloon met seems to be the beginning of their love.

I love Bleuming especially after I watched the live concert version which I hope you'll get to watch. React to IU's Red Queen or Zeze from her Chatshire album. Zeze has special clip performance. I don't really know about other meaning for the lyrics of Blueming, I always interpreted it as a love song, I think that IU was showing different fases of love with her album love poem, but I'm not 100% sure. One of my favourite songs from IU is "Palette ft GDragon" (GDragon is the leader of Big bang (iconic 2nd generation group), I'm not sure if you reacted to them before, but I think that you heard their name at least). The lyrics of the song are so comforting, and I love the chill vibe of it, if you can react to it please.

I think rectangular box represents phones/smartphones, blue and gray balloon represents texts/messages, when you text or chat someone your message is in blue balloon and their reply is in gray balloon.

In terms of darker songs, her debut song MIA/lost child as well as "the only story I didnt know" come to mind. Also her MMA 2017 performance of "Dear Name" always gets me teary and gives me chills. Also her live performance of Dear Moon on Huiyeol's Sketcbook is one of my faves.
