IU said in an interview that coin was about her working style. As in she compares her almost addiction to work to gambling. She keeps saying "one last time one last time" but keeps going on and working hard. Hahaha but she did clarify this saying she's not retiring she just works way too much to the point she has no hobbies. Its all work work work. Which she wants to reduce a little.

I see the same theme between 'Lilac' and 'Coin' which is 'starting over'. Both MVs start and end in similar ways: In Lilac, IU rides a train and goes through many experiences before ending the same place she started, at which point another train comes and she gets ready to go again. In Coin, she starts with a single coin, goes through an adventure winning games and beating opponents before finally losing to the big boss, losing all her chips except the same coin she started with. Just something interesting I noticed.

Remember when she had conversation with her brother she said that aside from work if she could define herself she's "unskilled" that's because she prioritized her work more than anything else. She is always all in with her work to the point that she is gambling, like she said she'll stop (this is my last) but then she found her self doing it again.

Haha don’t worry iu personally assured she’s not retiring she’s like referring everything in this song to her last album in her 20s iu in her intro said in her 20s she worked really hard she was addicted to her work like how gamblers are addicted to gambling and she was missing in her life and how in gambling u take risks and all as she did in her work over time. This song is like going all in and enjoying her last album and in the end even when she gave away her gold coin she still confidently walked away it doesn’t matter she won or lost she gave her all in the last album in her 20s and she enjoyed the whole process. She went all in for this album. Everything in this song is metaphorical references to her work if u read again u will get it. Glad you enjoyed can’t wait for your album listening.

In the whole album this is my favorite. I have listened in all her songs from debut up to now and this song she's totaly different. Yes, the mature voice, the badass voice, and she said she lost weight bec she keep practicing her dance moves here. I heard her rapping before but her rap here is fire🔥🔥 the tone of her voice here is lit! For me this is complete different IU and I know she spent so much effort in this MV..btw, to give you a heads up about her album it'll give you a roller coaster ride. The color, the texture,the melody, the voice in every songs are all insanely wonderful! Looking forward for your listening party! Thank you

For me, what I thought about her song is that she won't be left-out, she won't die as a singer even she's not on her 20's anymore because she's all in. Just like what she's showing and giving us. She is showing different sides of her by singing different genre and even though it's different from what her usual style is, it still caught us off guard without any sign. And she always killed it! Her songs made us love her even more and though she is doing different genres, she is still great! Beyond great! And that's the confidence! And that's the reason why I love IU so much and really respect her as a singer because she never disappointed anyone with her songs.

My theory is that it represents this album release and iu's 20s music career. IU had made lots of efforts to the lilac album, in fact, she had put 6 songs written by herself in this album first,but to keep fresh and diversity, she finally abandon them all. If you have listened the full album, you can find how diverse the songs are，iu had really tried many new things in this album. To some extent,it is a risky gamble, because no one knows whether the market will accept her new style attempt or not. But iu will not give up, instead, she will make full efforts and leave no regrets. I think coin lyrics represent and emphasize this, the last means last album in her 20s,the circulation and restart means whatever outcome she gets, she will start her 30s from scratch.And she is already for the new coming challenge.IU is always confident and courageous.

Vamos means "let's go" in both Spanish and Portuguese! The way she pronounced it sounds more like Portuguese though because most Spanish accents pronounce the v as a b, so it would sounds like "bamos"
