Irene was actually famous as a very great dancer during her trainee days. SM idols used to notice her dancing skills since SM Rookies. :)

Seulgi is the main dancer and Irene is the lead dancer, so they're both the dance line. Vocals line are Wendy (main), Seulgi and Joy (lead). Rap line are Irene (main) and Yeri (lead).

Irene is also an excellent dancer. I love how she and Seulgi are like Ying and Yang in dancing performance. While Seulgi is more powerful and prefers hip-hop style, Irene is elegant and prefers Jazz. MV "Be natural" really showcased the beauty of Irene's dance.💗💗💗

I don't mean to pick Irene as my fave in dance line bcoz she is my bias but she really dances so well in a way that exceeds my expectation. sorry but I don't agree, they have their positions for a reason. It could be possible if she was in another group but just not in Red Velvet. She would be pretty weak if she was a "main vocal" in SM, there's a lot of problems with her tongue tension and nasality that she would need to fix first to work on her openness, cause her notes above Bb4 are way to tight and she strains a lot. "Lead Vocalist" is a perfect title for Seulgi as a member of RV, she is the best lead vocalist of her gen, she's the perfect lead to Wendy's main.
