yup I actually got seasick on the second day due to the constant rocking that sent me and my friends uncle into a wall while walking in a hallway. at least 4 hours of the trip was waiting on elevators, and another 3 hours walking to our destinations aboard the ship and on land. Next time I go to the Bahamas we are flying

@AdventuresAhead i hear its awesome....but even tho its 3 floors, considering amount of total adults on the boat, its always VERY crowded...basically have to get there like 8-9am to get a good spot or any spot. True??

I am so glad you guys mentioned the rockiness. We went on the sunshine this year it was our 2nd cruise and I almost didn't convince my husband to book another cruise because he was so sea sick everyone was.

I have my first cruise on the Sunshine coming in May of this year & I do deal with motion sickness so I may be buying me some bonine too. I love listening to all of these reviews & trying to kind of get a layout of what I will or won't be doing. I saw you showed a SMALL portion of your room but could you tell me how open is it & the bathrooms? I booked a room on the 8th deck & a balcony but just wondering how much space they have in the rooms & bathroom (I'm also a little on the claustrophobic).

We were on the sunrise last month and noticed the same rocking. I guess it's just a destiny class thing.

When are you thinking of going? Come with me and my son next spring break! Good stuff to do. Water slides, games, golf, basketball, kid clubs by age, pool...and i havent even been yet lol. Just tons of research!

Do t be too worried. The sunshine was rocky but we just make sure to take bonine and we are fine!

Always appreciate your review videos - you both keep it real and are very relatable. The ashtrays, ugh! I hate when a great machine opens up, so you hurry over to get in the seat and then realize there isn't an ashtray in sight. Cruises we've taken that have fully no smoking casinos just aren't the same experience. I know it's a stinky bad habit, but smoking/drinking/gambling go hand in hand. And I stay in the casino longer, losing more of my money ... which is what they want. 😉

Oh no you got me a little nervous in the service. We have a aft balcony with a first time cruiser . That was worried about motion. Back to Back on sunrise Half moon twice is nice . 🥂

We’re booked on the Sunshine this summer May 2023… we’ve never taken Bonine, never had to, does it make you drowsy, do you take it around the clock??

I don’t find it makes me drowsy. I typically take it once a day. Sometimes I don’t take it at all. It’s nice to have in case you need it! Hope that’s helpful!

You take Bonine once a day, and it does cause drowsiness in some people, so it's a good idea to take it at night to minimize any effects. :)

I had 2 cruises booked on this ship before I sailed on it. Couldn't wait for the second one to be over. Didn't like the ship the first time but muddled through the second. Never again.

We will be going on our very first cruise and it's on the Sunshine. I already have another booked on the Mardi Gras. Can anyone get a pin? Where do you get it? I hope I didn't make a mistake booking the Sunshine. We will have a lot of Bonine on hand just in case we get sea sick. Thanks for the video!

You’ll have a great time on the sunshine. Josh and I always say the cruise is what you make it. Although there were things that didn’t go as planned and things we didn’t enjoy as much, we still made the best of our time! You’ll have a great time! I think gold status can get a pin… I’m actually not sure if anyone can get a pin. It’s a vifp perk. We got ours from the pixels gallery… it’s worth a shot asking or you could look up the vifp perks on carnivals website. Thanks for watching and commenting and have a great cruise!

It's SOOOOOOO rocky... The only ship I have ever been on that made me feel sick. I feel bad for people that are super sensitive to it. I have been on the Sunshine 2x in the past 9 months and both times it was horrific.

Oh no :( Ok so ive heard of so many things u can buy: Dramamine, ginger candy?!, patches, special bracelets, etc....do any of those work, maybe some better than others? And were u super sick even despite these things???

Thats one reason I dislike the casino the smoke is over whelming. They need a non-smoking room. Me and my family are going on the sunshine Feb 6-11 my second time.

@@shaylalowman5732 I can definitely keep you updated! I am super excited 😆 however I have been on 2 cruises as a child. One to Bermuda and one to Alaska. However, I was a child so I didn’t have any responsibilities ha ha however, as an adult being a single mom having to look for vacations, I was trying to think of what would be the best way to go on vacation and be able to have a great time together, be safe but be able to experience quite a few things and that’s why I thought a cruise would be the best bet! If you want I can give you my email and I can def stay in touch with you! We already have learned quite a few dos and songs already unfortunately!

We do get insurance… since we cruise often we typically get yearly travel insurance

if she had problem with the internet connection and you didn't it could be the phone"s inner antenna problem. Apple phone antenna is not as strong as android.

Sunshine pins - what are you talking about, I've never been offered, given or bought a pin. Rocking of ship? We were on the ship in May couldn't get into Charleston. Friends with us has been on alot of cruises and said worst food they had ever had a breakfast

It was definitely a rocky ship. All cruise ships aren’t like that and we take Bonine (it’s a sea sickness medication) to help when it is rocky! Hope this video was helpful!

We had a great cruise overall. It was quite rocky but we managed fine by taking medication! I would go in with a positive attitude and know that everyone’s experience is different!
