This is my review of the Olight Perun 2 Mini, 1100 Lumen light against my very good, but generic 1800 lumen light. I have to say that I am quite impressed with this little, but very powerful light. The camera did this light no justice as it wasn't able to pick up the light, but I assure you that it looked like daylight to the naked eye. Phenominal light and I would recommend to anyone! Looking foward to testing this every night.

I am delighted you received such a practical and fun item to review. Seems quite appropriate for those nighttime jaunts to the goats barn. I ordered a bundle and 2 singles. It could be just me but I found the website a bit confusing, it was somewhat overwhelming. Not a reflection on Shawn, of course. It's sad it couldn't be more user-friendly but determination led to success. Thank you for your genuine feedback. I hope you receive more interesting products to review. I trust your integrity so I am prone to peruse products you recommend. At my age (72), a fall could be life-altering or life-ending. This light will be very useful and I thank you.

Shawn, my husband is a literal flashlight snob!!😂 The flashlights like this one you are reviewing are very much worth the cost!!! If you need a flashlight to get a job done go big or go home!! The cost might sting a little at first but EVERY time you turn it on to use it you will thank yourself for going the extra $$!!! Thanks for sharing and stay safe!!

Shaun I’ve seen probably 15 different homesteaders do reviews on olight products but I’ve never seen anyone do such a thorough review on one. Olight was smart sending you a light and should send you more stuff to test if they want a honest review and testing. I would love to see what stuff you carry it your SHTF bag and I think a lot of others would too. Good job!!!

I really enjoy the light so that made it easy. I can go over my bag some day. Ah, a fellow SHTF man. Nice! There’s barely anything in the bag but I know how to use it so there doesn’t have to be much. Last thing I want to do is haul a 75lb backpack. ☺️

Some of these lights are really amazing! I have a little NEBO mini that I carry in my purse, it takes a regular micro USB cable for charging. Most powerful flashlight I have ever owned in one tiny little package. And I love the magnet on the bottom. 💖💖💖

they have just added the magnetic chargers.. i have one of the mini's that has just a plain usb charger.. no AAA battery.. love it

@@zioncreekfarm the charger on mine came with it.. was just a usb cable that you pluged into the computer.. no magnets involved.. no magnetic base to put it on.. you just had to remember which cord belonged to the flashlight.. so many cords so many things to plug into computers or usb plugs now days..

@@jrsf222 i tag my cords now with a sticker for what they belong to.. i got tired of forgetting that the short black cord belonged to.. phone while the long black cord belonged to my digital glucose meter.. one only has to be plugged in for a short time.. one has to be plugged in all the time.. then there are the flashlight ones.. cant lose them :)

Ok, weird. The ad that ran when you were showing the SOS redlight was for Olight. Lol they couldn't have planned it better! To me it seemed like Daniel was right there in the room with you. Uncanny😜 It will be great for getting wood after dark here. I like that it is rechargeable. I hate remembering to buy batteries.

I LOVE the keychain light. Have used mine, more than any other flashlight I own. 2nd most used, is the prerun. I have a TON of super expensive, really nice flashlights, I like & USE these. You'll end up loving the magnetic charger, especially as you get more of the lights that take it

because i am in canada I dont believe the % off works on the canadian site.. but yes their lights are great.. i use the little one to follow my dog around when he is doing his well .. buisness.. so i can pick it up.. and i have seen lots of people use those other ones that fit in the head set and they throw lots of light you will be amazed!!

@@zioncreekfarm for their size they pack quite a punch.. and they have so many lights for so many different occasions.. my mini light is copper.. i bought my sister a mini in pink for breast cancer.. both are usb plug in not the magnetic base.. the only thing i find about O light is that they are expensive.. but you get what you pay for and they are Great!!! lights.

O have been using OLight on our farm for years. I have worn out 3 of them in 5 years. I love that it gives you lots of notice with a blink when it’s running low. I even had one that would not charge for some reason and no questions asked, they sent a replacement. You will love the brightness of the light Shaun. And it lasts for such a long time.😊

How come some of the rechargeable energizer head lamps for much much cheaper like 20-25 dollars can produce 400 lumens for up to 4 hours? I’m not knocking this light in any manner I’m just genuinely curious as I did buy one and wondering why it cost so much more for less lumens and battery life. Thanks

I’m not sure. I don’t want to insult other companies when I haven’t tried their products. We’ve tried several lights over the years. Some cheaper and some more expensive. I can tell you I still have never had a single problem with these Olight lights from a mechanical perspective or a recharge perspective. The rubber isn’t wearing out on the buttons, the case doesn’t crack when you drop it because it’s metal and moisture doesn’t slip past the O-rings and ruin the insides. I have been using them every single day since I made this video. At a minimum I run this light for 1.5 hours per night doing chores. We also use them for early morning setup and late night tear down at craft shows. They have even survived kidding season, which is a miracle 🤣. I’ve used them in the pouring down rain and the blinding snow. I don’t swear by many things but I love these lights. If it can be broken, I’ll break it 🤣, and so far I haven’t been able to break one. I don’t understand the comment. I tested the product. I test them live on camera so I can provide true and honest feedback. I love the Perun 2 mini and use it every single day. I WOULD feel ok doing an Olight review without testing the light because I truly believe in their quality. That being said, I will still test it in the video and I wont say it’s good unless it’s good. Go watch my Baton 4 Olight review. I put the Perun 2 mini head to head with the Baton and called out where each light fell short. My agreement with companies I work with is as follows. I will only make a video with my honest opinion. If the product sucks, I’ll say it sucks. If that’s something you’re interested in, send me your product. I’ve lots tons of business with that standard because the companies have said, make the video but if you don’t like the product, don’t put out the video. They give me the respect of trying their product and I give them the respect of not putting out a video if don’t believe in the product. I’ll never push a product I don’t believe in. Integrity and honor are all we have and I won’t sell mine for a little bit of money.

Sir, I'm not questioning your integrity or anything else. I'm quite prepared to believe that when you say you think it's a good product that it's your honest opinion. That said if your opinion is just based on just getting it out of the box, looking at it and going through it's functions then your opinion is just based on your first impressions and those may change after using the product in anger over time. My comment is not intended to be a judgement of your character in any shape or form it's intention is to convey that I think if you're going to entitle your video, "An honest review" then I think you should be relating your opinion of a product based on use over time. Again I say your honesty isn't in question. I was taking you at your word when you said, "you feel ok doing a review without testing the product". I hope this clarifies things for you.
