Since Johnny did not even know the internet and seemed to only watch old movies on his crappy tv, he would not have heard of covid and would not have been fallen in the trap of this scandemic. Surprisingly YES. I had waited a long time to watch it since it first started on youtube....and then when I did I was like WoW way better than expected...even with the cheesy and campyness , it just somehow works.

@@larhondachinn9290 gotta say this show surprised me way more than i could have ever hoped, sure there's tons of nostalgia but it's well done, not just 'copy and paste the formula' (like the new SW trilogy) being its own thing, like even the teenager drama is entertaining except for the messy love triangle

Asthma can go away in teenage years of the person suffering it so its not totally unrealistic that his asthma disappeared. It might not come back ever but it might when he grows older.

Agreed. I love the show but it did get to a point where it felt sickly toxic... like things scaled up and only up and now we're in a situation where the police would literally arrest many of these people... Loved watching Hawk and Demitri getting back together, but when they weren't, Hawk was an absolute criminal and that felt really bad... Still, I do want season 4 to come out right now!!

That's what I'm focused on. He was too old to make out with the actress playing his girlfriend in the original movies because he was significantly older than her (in his 20s, IIRC), BUT today he looks younger than some of his peers from back then. Madness.

He was basically a father and a teacher to him. Daniel molded his entire personal and professional life around the lessons Miyagi have him. Miyagi meant so much to Daniel so I love when he mentions him

William's acting style is amazing... He literally seems like your everyday guy that is not an actor, but just does stuff, and the camera follows him around. It's so real it both feels like it doesn't belong, but fits perfectly at the same time.

I love this show! Cobra Kai is the best example of how to handle a franchise in the right way. They expanded the story a lot, they gave importance in the right amounts to every character, old and new. The show is not focused in only one character, there are many important characters. This show is not only great, but it also gave more replay value to (and even enhanced) the classic films. It's the complete opposite of what Disney did to SW with the sequel trilogy.

While I generally agree, I do feel bummed out that they just cut out certain characters. Aisha should've been more of a focus point, not dropped from the show, for instance. A lot of missed potential there. I love how they handled both Kumiko and Ali making their cameo returns, though, giving them proper sized spots without stirring up new drama.

The fact that they are apparently bringing back Terry Silver from Karate Kid 3 for season 4 is going to be nuts. I hope they get the same actor because that dude was great. He was basically playing the Joker in that movie and it was glorious. This shows pretty silly at times but if Terry Silver is anything like he was in KK3 this shows going full looney tunes.

The continuity in the writing is honestly the biggest reason I keep watching the show. As a young millennial who has seen so many properties try and capitalize on my young sense of nostalgia, but clearly not care about the details of the story they are trying to capitalize on, Cobra Kai is super refreshing. I also really like the way it analyzes society and classic tv tropes.
