That’s a complicated thing about this movie, that balance between not wanting to split LILO from her sister, but also making a solid case that a more structured home may be good for her. And the immense responsibility of taking care of a difficult child like LILO isn’t fair for Nani.

@@Beandonuts There were a lot of people buying (and thus people catching) clownfish after "finding nemo" almost driving the species to extinction, even though that's supposed to be the exact opposite of the intended lesson. Also it convinced kids that "all drains lead to the ocean" which lead to some kids flushing (thereby killing) their fish. Point is, you never know what people are going to take away from the movie.

The Franchise was already Stuck for Years now and got multiple RIP OFFS; even a Chinese One (yikes); but now it escalates into Life Action on 'Mulan 2020 Level'... Lilo & Stitch turns 20!!! I remember my sister and I watched the preview constantly it made us laugh hard and we saw the movie in theaters opening weekend Made $273 million worldwide and got an Oscar nomination for best animated feature Chris Sanders the director also did the voice of Stitch I forgot Tia Carrere voiced Nani, Lilo's sister and Ving Rhames voiced Cobra Bubbles Crazy it spawned three sequels, a Disney Channel animated series, and introduced a generation of kids to the power of Elvis Presley The movie is a perfect representation of indigenous peoples and sisterhood Big themes of family and brings in an exploration of the foster care system in America, and the lacking nature of support through social structures for families and children who need them-especially Indigenous people and communities like that of Hawaii No matter how broken a family unit is it can always get bigger without the parents or with just the siblings to always lean on, blood related or not I'm happy they made a level of it in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Refreshing they made the film culturally significant from the songs to the dances to the casting making it very authentic It's also one of the few animated movies of the modern era to use handpainted, watercolor backgrounds way to give the movie a storybook feel appropriate to the age of the characters The ending had to be changed to due to 9/11 happening involving a spaceship crashing through buildings Nostalgia Critic loved Lilo being a very interesting child character yet he found the alien portions to be just ok Over time he finds it much better than he remembers Great heart and comedy thanks to both Lilo & Stitch themselves

This is actually something that has gone somewhat mis-reported. It was always a pizza box in Europe apparently, and that's the version on Disney+.

@@TheNamekianClown why would it be a pizza box in the european version? Do europeans not own dryers?
@TheNamekianClown
@TheNamekianClown 3 жыл бұрын
@@brandonvasquez7279 The reason for the change is "what if a kid hides in a dryer and someone turns it on and we are blamed for it". That's also why they use this version everywhere now. It's just that the Europe branch of Disney already had it changed from the beginning, so it's not a change for Disney+.

One of my all time favorite movies. Lilo is so blatantly BAD it's hysterical! "My friends need to be punished," she says in a creepy monotone.

Stitches speech pattern and gibberish was iconic and I loved it. Especially the unintelligible curse he uttered during Jumba’s trial followed by maniacal laughter. 😈 That was just hilarious.

This movie is iconic, brilliant, amazing, great, fantastic, fabulous, and everything this world needs! I mean that sisterly bonds, the bonds of friendship, the bonds of family. The action, the art, the storyline. It’s so amazing. So amazing. Nani is the best sister in the world. And David is one of the greatest love interest ever. Stitch is cool. The aliens are so cool and hilarious. I love it. They’re so amazing. I know what movie I’m watching tonight.

Yeah, that was news to me. I looked it up and the movie came out less than a year after 9/11 so that ending must have already been halfway finished before it happened and then they had to redo it because they obviously couldn't keep it like that.
