Dude ive been stuck on the floor for so long... but i met this girl. She makes me better, she makes me feel like me, like i dont need the weed to feel happy all the time, i still smoke, but i do it when i have time now, because im filling my days with her. She loves me for all that i am... she makes me feel like i can do anything. Since meeting her, i got my son back, i felt my heart heal and my home cleaned up, im living cleaner, i dont drink any more, i have love. I asked her to marry me, and she said yes, now what choice do i have but to improve? Im going to college again, im making sure my grades are hitting where they need to. Its all getting bettee. Hang in there av. Hope youre doing okay and you keep us in your heart while youre writing these generational wrongs.

Av, if you see this: thank you. I appreciate the beauty of your pain, in the most respectful way possible. Finding you on TikTok hiding your struggle to wearing it on your sleeves making this music, I couldn’t be more proud of someone I didn’t know. I couldn’t thank you enough for the recent music. I’m a dad and I’m struggling to get clean for my family. I know I should be able to stop and I know what I’m doing to my family but it’s not clicking for me no matter how much therapy or AA or NA and I felt for the longest time I’d just be dead soon enough that I could stop causing my family problems, stop letting my 3 year old see me in the wrong ways. But I have some hope, now. I don’t want to hurt my boy the same way your dad hurt you and I’m so sorry you had to experience that and I’m ashamed I’ve been following that path. I’ve flushed my stash, blocked all numbers for anyone related to my addictions and cut off all the people who ever enabled me. I’m starting a program this week for detox and then outpatient addiction and occupational therapy. I wish your dad hadn’t had been in so much pain, Av. You deserved to be loved and supported. From one dad to one son, I’m proud of what you’ve become and the things you’re making of yourself. Thank you, Av, for this second chance. I’ll respond to this comment after detox and some therapy for an update. I don’t have much of a support system because of the life I’ve lived but I think I’d feel better coming back here to let any random stranger know it’s never too late to get help and become a better person for yourself and for your loved ones.
