As oppose to him having ONE mid start string, gaps everywhere, two safe strings that can't cancel, predictable F2, command grab and unlockable, being a big ass character that struggles with jumping over projectiles and getting his pokes nerfed more than any other character so now his optimal corner combos are gone . Sure he's strong, but if he was commonly used like scorpion or Liu kang people would run circles around Kotal

@@blastfromdass4310 Bro scorpion is ass and all he has is online tp and forward 3, he's just annoying at best, Kotal has good command grabs, his totems work with krushing blows leading to insane damage, his command grab has multiple tick throws and it's a mid, his heal hurts you and heals him making his stalling insane along with his totems, yeah being a big boi sucks and having gaps suck, but he has a lot of good shit, look at skarlet who has a million gaps and sucks at everything else

@@liquidglitch1244 I said if he was used as common as Scorpion, if nobody played scorp then people would have a hard time knowing the matchup, his sunbeam is 90 frames, his totems are slow so if you punish with a KB they disappear, if you're letting Kotal stack totems then it's the players fault I'm not saying he ain't strong, Kotal only gets better, but there's worse out there like Liu kangs 9-11 frame mids that can all combo, I don't have to mention the mixup he gets from F4, Jax now being able to delete your health bar in two combos (also having a 9frame mid) and can combo from his poke, Joker being fast and great at everything, and fighting Sub zero is a constant guessing game, there's characters just as tough as Kotal

@@AssassinBro2000 you can’t hit confirm it. If your opponent blocks you get full combo punishes. And he’s actually a pretty complex and unique character. His totems are unique, his parry creates gaps in strings so you can flawless block, and his command grab buff only lasts like 8 seconds. He is top 10 right behind kollector, but he’s not busted.

@@AssassinBro2000 I think it’s fair. The risk/ reward isn’t even in kotals favor. The opponent gets a jump in combo or a counter hit krushing blow combo if they can react to a 41 frame unblockable. So 21% vs. 40%+... it’s just not worth it. The only thing the d4 really does now is help punish more options than his f1 does.

We call those 50/50s. If you think this is bad then you clearly haven't seen the insanity of MKX's hyper offense.
