Aaron from Service Champions Heating & Air Conditioning goes over the Honeywell TH8000 Thermostat. Aaron will show you how to operate, program and troubleshoot your Honeywell TH8000 thermostat. He explains: how to adjust your fan settings, how to select your system, how to adjust your temperature, how to program a weekly schedule, and how to override your program and set a different temperature. Aaron will also show you how to set the clock and change the batteries of your thermostat.

There is another battery behind the screen - a 2032 disc type battery. Lots of thermostats have been replaced when they just needed a new 2032 battery.

Thank you Aaron. One more question. How do I set my Honeywell Thermostat to show the Humidity on screen? I have 2 and the one down on 1st floor shows the Humidity but the 2nd on the 2nd floor does not.

I bought a house with one of these but the sellers didn't leave me the manual. Thank you for walking me through it! One question: It's flashing "wi-fi connection lost" and I can't seem to find anything about connecting that. Any ideas from anyone? Thanks!

Hi Aaron, how do you disable Recovery mode? I have the same thermostat and have been trying to figure out how to disable this Recovery mode that it would trigger the heating furnace to turn on in middle of every night and also around noon daily. Thanks much!

You cannot disable recovery mode. This mode is there for an internal check to make sure all system parts are working. It should disappear after a few minutes. If not find your “light switch” that powers your furnace. Keep it off for 5 or so min and then turn it back on. This will manually reset the system. If the problem consists I would call your local HVAC. Could be a sensor/relay/capacitor….

My wife thinks we need to turn on the Auxiliary heat when it's under 50 degrees outside. I'm guessing the thermostat knows when that auxiliary heat needs to turn on without our having to manually turn it on. Who's correct?

I have this thermostat. I have it set exactly as you showed. I have one issue. I set the SLEEP for 10PM and the WAKE for 5AM. But the heat comes on at 3:30AM every morning and not 5AM? I have reprogrammed the thermostat several times, but nothing eliminates the 3:30AM issue. What can I do to fix this? Thank you for your time.

What is Aux heat on ? It shows frequently on my thermostat.

If you have a heat pump and the out side temp goes below 34 ish deg could be as low as 32-30 degrees your heat pump will not function correctly at that temp. So when it senses the low temp it will switch to emergency heat and use either the natural gas burners or electrical heat element. Keeps you from freezing in cold weather its s good thing kinda. If its coming on a lot and it's not that cool out the call a technician for service.

+Jose Marcial This thermostat does not require a C connection to work. The only reason for the C connection is to power the thermostat and this thermostat can use batteries to do the same thing. The batteries would be placed on the back of the thermostat at the marked locations.

I'm happy with the thermostat BUT - I did NOT see in the instructions that when you change the wires (the green wire to the C terminal), you must also do that to the furnace or it will not work.

All you need to do is set the Fan to Auto. That way the fan will only run when the heat or cooling system needs it to.

Yeah. This didn't help. I'm trying to program the minimum temp for cooling. It's stuck at 68. No manual I've seen for this thing has told me how to do that, but I clearly remember doing it in the past. All this video does is tell you what the owner's manual tells you. It's redundant.

I'm in my 30's and know my tech, and trying to fighter this out for my parents, this is the worst device i ever encounter, I glad i wasn't stupid enough to buy it, no one need to set a schedule on a thermostat, all we need is an on, off option and set the temperature, and I cant even get it to turn on.
