One thing to note ; PAR doesn't mean you will get confirm entery in HK. At immigration counter they ask a lot of questions and if they are not satisafy with it then they deport. I have seen by myself even they asked me many questions during my 2 visits in HK.

Our experience is different. They asked minimal questions with us and with our fellow travelers and it took around 3-4 mins

Is the distance between Tung Chung Station and the Big Budha Statue (if cable car isn't used). Is ot walkable or some bus has again to be taken to reach the place where Big Budha Statue is located. Regards
