What if I want to stay in a hotel not in the central or common area? Due to all the riots and anti-China rioters its dangerous to even walk out. Is there any hotel in safe areas away from the central area? I know the HK side facing Kowloon has all the major attractions and can be very dangerous during a demonstration. How about the other side of HK where people usually don't visit?

Hi... can recommed hotel near MTR, in causeway bay (times square) or mongkok (ladies market), under 100$ ? I go to hongkong at 11 sep until 17 sep... thanks

Hello, Hong Kong is amazing, you will love it! causeway bay and Mongkok are not near each other. If you like the traditional local style then stay in Mongkok, if you prefer to be in the newer part of hong kong with modern building and shops then causeway bay is a perfect choice. How long are you staying in Hong Kong?

@@Explorigate im stay in 1 weeks. my planning is 3 days stay in causeway bay n 3 days in mongkok. i have choice in best western causeway bay and le Prabelle in Mongkok. but if u have another choice, i will think about it too...

Any of these hotels are about $200 a night NOT $100. Not sure when you were there, but the prices must have gone up.

Hi Joan, I am actually in Hong Kong right now :) when are you staying in Hong Kong? all the hotels in the links are just under $100 but of course, if you are traveling in high season then prices might be higher... I know a lot of great hotels here and I am happy to help! Oliver

@@Explorigate Hi Oliver. Not fussy. As long as we cab get around to see the sights. We will have to get to the hotel from the cruise port and then the airport the next day. We need 2 rooms. A hotel with an airport shuttle would be great. Thanks for this.

Hi Joan, sorry for the late answer... I really like the Royal Plaza in Kowloon: bit.ly/2vXFtm7 They have a free shuttle bus going to hong kong express airport train (the fastest way to go to airport) And it is not to far from the ferry terminal (about 10 to 15 mins with traffic). The Royal plaza is a great hotel and i have stayed in this hotel many times! The date you are traveling are high seasons in Hong Kong so prices are higher than normal... The hotel is just beside the flower market and the bird market witch is a must see in Hong Kong, you are not far from jade market and ladies market (15 mins walk), and there is the MTR (metro) just down the hotel. They have a very nice buffet restaurant and the hotel is super clean and people very nice. Let me know if this is a good choice for you guys. Happy to answer any questions you have. Oliver
