In the summer of 2022, a new cultural landmark appeared on the glittering waterfront of Victoria Harbor in Hong Kong - the Hong Kong Palace Museum. But while visitors flock to gaze in awe at the grand structure and the valuable exhibits it houses, few know the full story behind the museum. It was all about creatively reinterpreting and presenting the Palace Museum in Beijing and the essence of China’s 5,000 years of history. It was also a race against time in which countless obstacles were overcome to create a cutting-edge museum in less than 1,000 days.
