You guys should pray for the pilot who just lost his job. You HK protesters should also pray for the poor HK girl who was killed by his boy friend. You guys should not forget the killer got away with murder. HK legal system has quite a few big loopholes.

@@Potomacstud indeed. Hopefully you will have a chance to revisit, in a time Hong Kong is more like what it used to be. I visit every few years... And the spirit of the place has eroded so severely in the last 10 years. It's really saddening.

@@rei_cirith Hong Kong will always be Hong Kong in my mind , i only hope they will retain the cantonese lingo because it always leave me in stiches laughing my lungs out hearing them speak to each other , colorful humorous lingo , totally loved it !

@@xihuantiyu i won't be in hk not in the near future for the time being , hate crowds , noise and tear gas smoke , i will missed the food and the lovely people though and hope that a peaceful resolution will be achieved , i don't like to see hk like that to be honest , crossed my heart !

Cathay pacific can not afford to dream the collapse of Chinese communist. Cathay Pacific itself is in grieve danger right now. If Cathay Pacific keeps fooling around, this company will definitely fall. All the employees will be forced out of the jobs. They can have a farewell party and add all the jet fuels they can have.

Hong Kongers are so very different from mainland Chinese. Sensible, informed, reasonable. I respect them for standing up for what is right and just.

Guys we got spy here. sensible? ... hmm blocking road.... rush into mall... blcoking police hq... vandalism legco... yep very sensible. right and just? attacking police with pole, brick, cleanser liquid, umbrella. digging political parent grave. destroying actor/actress vynil records for standing out to support police blocking people doing business restaurant, drug store. destroying public facilities. road sign, seperator, cctv hm.... yeah... very sensible, reasonable, informed, right and just.

Its most unprofessional to broadcast through the PA system one's personal ideological stance while carrying out one's duty. He should keep his personal view private, and esp. in a customer-facing profession like a pilot and instead focus on his job of operating the aircraft safely. What more as a captain. what kind of an example is he showing to the rest of the crew ? What a real disgrace ! Cathay should investigate this incident and issue this pilot a show cause letter. Proper disciplinary action should be taken against him even if it means dismissal.

Cheese Pie, stern warning is for the pilot in this clip making the inappropriate announcement. I thought the one being suspended was because he was arrested during the macrh to protest against the 'white shirts at Yuen Long. Are these 2 the same person ?

I don't see how you could say that at all. He was simply being professional and informing passengers in his care of the protest. Imagine if he hadn't , they may have been concerned and fearful otherwise.

@@boofsiggy if you want to protest. you should avoid public space. when protester can enter airport to do protest. the authority must be checked. why protestor allowed into airport. and they want to "educate" visitor. haiz... see what happen when an elderly didnt agree with them, they harrass and insult him.
