Still, i wonder myself. Not a Impact 3rd player, this game is not for me. Does Acheron is from Impact? Or she's just Raiden Mei that was born in this universe? I remember how on Special Programm. Devs said Welt will not be the only character from the Impact in the future, and both talked within story, like they somewhat know each other. So as a HSR player, i wonder.

@@Aeris052 A Raiden Mei without a Kiana, is a Raiden Mei who loses value in the world. Kiana means everything to Raiden Mei. Kiana was the one light who reached out when she was overcome by the suffocating darkness that almost ended Mei. If you know what happened with Mei before the events of HI3rd, you would know she was suffering emotionally so bad, she tried to kill herself. Kiana would NOT let that happen, and saved her when nobody else could or would. This is assuming the world "Acheron" comes from had at first the same storyline as HI3rd's world, but went dark, more than HI3rd did. HI3rd we at least got our happy ending to Part 1 and Part 1.5. Acheron's past, things likely turned to the worse with no hope

But yeah I stopped for a solid minute once I heard “North Wind”. I was like “WAIT A MINUTE. I know this song! This is a Hi3 song!”

From what I heard “Bosenmori” is more of a title meaning “guardian/watcher of forgotten river” or smth similar, which makes sense since she’s the watcher of river Acheron. She watches over and guides the people who do not want to be part of the Nihility back to the other side. So technically her name would just be Raiden Mei. “Bosenmori” is rather a title she has.

She even asked the trailblazer something like "after all the friend's you've made along the way , would you still severe ties to save them?" Immediately thought of her fight with Kiana after she turned into the Herrscher in order to save her. Hoyo's writing is on another level istg edit: she actually said "so far you have forged unbreakable bonds with numerous individuals and entities in the sweet dream. Might I ask if you fear severing these bonds with your own hands?" She definitely experienced that dilemma before, but of course she did if it meant her best friend can survive. If she is Raiden Mei, then we can assume that she's the CE Mei not PE Dr. Mei. Meaning, the existence of Kiana is possible. But the existence of Elysia might not exists that's why they lost the fight against Honkai.

Raiden Bosenmori Mei can technically be written as Raiden B. Mei just like how they did Peter B. Parker. If you think about it, both are similar in terms of their struggles. Both are depressed, lost someone they loved and at a low point in their life. They also have more experience compared to their prime counterparts. Though I'm hoping for this Mei to improve her life just like how Peter B did.

Technically, you can just remove Bosenmori and call her Raiden Mei! Ancient Japanese put their official title in the middle of their name, and Bosenmori literally means "The Watcher of the Acheron River", so her full name in modern terms would be "Raiden Mei, the Watcher of the Acheron River "

No, Acheron's world is clearly based off PE, and she's even closer to Kevin(or at least refers to him more than anything towards Kiana). She definitely still redeems herself, since unlike with Kevin, who she could only kill, she "kills" Caelus, but it's only in a dream, and she can help him back up.

@@maosama3695 so far there are no mention of kiana(at least that I'am aware of) the only one that was somewhat concrete evidence is kevin, he was implied to be the End/finality sword user(in the myriad celestia trailer for acheron mei) and Mei/acheron confirms it and she was the one who killed him(when talking to welt). And it seems to me Hsr is more of a What if world(what if kiana did not exist,at least That's what I interpreted based on that whole falling scene and Acheron/mei entire Lore-story of Izumo)
