HONMA TR21 X GOLF CLUB REVIEW. A quick analysis of the TR21 X iron from Honma. Released late last year we haven't managed to get much fitting time because of the lockdowns but an iron that is going to do very well in 2021 and an iron that everyone in that category should be testing.

I bought these 2 months ago. I was custom fitted and they are awesome. Fujikura graphite Pro Iron 95I Stiff shafts. I also hit the Taylormade 790 but they sounded a bit hollow and not as solid as the TR21x. The difference was just a matter of preference for feel and sound. They are long, easy to hit and land like a butterfly with sore feet.

I moved to Japan around 6 months ago and I found that a set of brand new Honma TR21X is cheaper than the P790, i500, ZX5, and the JPX919. This is honestly a no brainer for me.

I have a set. I think they have been great. I hit a friend’s Ping i525s and thought the Honmas felt much softer and less clicky and harsh. Very nice clubs.

Thanks for your feedback. I was thinking of getting the i525 but after reading this I've ordered the TR21X instead. Besides, prices on TR21X has gone down since it was launched and I got it for half the price of the i525. That itself is good enough of a reason to get the Honma.

I received my TR21x irons a couple of weeks ago,went with there 63 gram regular flex graphite, was concerned about the weight ,as i was playing 114 gram modus but after a couple of weeks at the range they are easy to swing,launch high all the way through to my 5 iron, so i went ahead and ordered a 4 iron.

I'm a high handicapper and I know the TR21X and TR20P aren't necessarily designed for me but if I were forced to buy one which are closer to game improvement? I can't quite work it out and there's no places I can test them locally.

@@supanununu I found a place to test them both. Surprisingly, both were similar and even as a 'bad player' I was hitting them just as good as my own game improvement irons. I would say the TR21X were slightly stronger lofted so it was going maybe a couple of yards further on average, but nothing major. I ended up buying the TR20Ps simply because I preferred the look.
