Finally got back on island after an 8 year absence. Had to do a 5 am airport drop off so headed directly to Leonard's thinking of you two. It was still dark and I got the last parking space in front. It is always worth the line even pre dawn! Nothing like a hot original malasada with a cup of steaming black coffee. Going to try these other donuts soon...yumz.

I also grew up in Kaimuki, and LOVE bakery goods, so was very excited to watch this one! (I'm also allergic to cats, so would be skipping the popoki cafe myself. 😂 ) I have never been to any of those places you featured, so I have a lot to look forward to. That vegan pop-up place was especially interesting....what a great hidden gem! Those Chee Hoo pops look awesome! I am lactose intolerant, so these would be perfect! All 3 flavors sound great! Also, I assume that the doughnut place has yeast style doughnuts based in your description. Perfect! I don't like cake-style doughnuts. Anyway, an early congratulations on your wedding day! Aloha Amanda & Felix...Kaimuki is such as fun town! Desserts are even better to explore in this area. FYI, Coffee talk also has some great desserts, & then there is OTTO Cakes that have homemade cheesecakes. I did not even know about a hidden GEM there called Little Vessels Co. I loved the surprise. Those Vegan donuts looked so ono. Happy for you both that the wedding day has finally arrived. Excited to hear all of the details. Congrats and forever happiness!

awwww. Congrats on your upcoming wedding....All the yummies looked soooo delicious. I love that you support LOCAL...Have you thought about other local vendors that Hawaii has to offer?? I've never seen or read about the Lei industry. Where are all the flowers grown? Is there a "lei market" where you can film the process? In particular, where can you recommend who can ship to the mainland? I'm looking to purchase for my son's college graduation in May 2024. Congrats on your wedding!! Scone looked really ono. But is it as good as the scones from Waioli in Manoa? Another great video. But I'm sad because two Kaimuki bakeries are no longer around. 9th Ave Bakery for long johns and custard pie Tropics Bakery for chantilly cake.

I prefer Pipeline Bakery’s malasadas over Leonard’s. Pipeline’s malasada stays fluffy and does not deflate like Leonard’s.
