@@jackD441 how the hell do you know what was happening or how she felt? Were you there? NO! I wonder if you have kids? Besides, how the F do you know how you would react to this situation that you've never been in. Show some decency for the family. How hard is it to show compassion toward a human being for you? Shame on you.

@@jackD441 The mother could have very well been overcome with the grief of seeing her daughter in that condition. Everyone grieves differently. If her mom needed people to assist her, it would have been harder for the staff to get her daughter down the hall.

Mercedes Adler, You asked several questions that I’d like to take a stab at answering. I have a bit of recent experience in grieving. Professionally, I’m a Psychologist, but last year, I lost by best friend and sister, Angie, in September. Then, my mom died in June, my other sister, Joey, in August, and her husband, MAC, the next month, from suicide. My sister’s death was so devastating and unexpected, I thought I would die from a broken heart. From lack of sleep and sobbing, I hyperventilated and passed out before I hit the ground. By nature, I am very conservative with my emotions and even-keeled. You have to be in my field. I came from a family much the same. At her memorial, I couldn’t talk to people, and left alone, inconsolable. In my car, it was a different thing all together. Repeat this 3 more times. You don’t know how you are going to react. I was really close to all my family, but each death impacted me differently. I’m familiar with Black culture, particularly in the south. What that poor woman was expressing, is the norm, not the exception. Have you ever been to a Black Church? Dear God, those precious souls know how to worship. It’s part of who they are culturally. And, unless that mom has eyes behind her head, she could not have possibly known how slow the gurney was moving. There were lots of folks sobbing. Hell, I sobbed watching this. Those 2 ladies “being dragged” have roles too. They are no doubt Denise’s Aunties. That’s what Aunties do. They hold up the mama. I saw the blond nurse turn. She was crying, and probably didn’t appreciate having a camera in her face. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter what you or I think, right? At the end of the day, Denise left too soon, her family will probably never get over it, and 5 people get to live because of Denise and her mom’s generosity.
