Hrant Dink was a prominent member of the Armenian community in Turkey. He was best known for advocating for Turkish-Armenian reconciliation, and for promoting the basic human rights of minorities in Turkey. He was often critical of both Turkey's denial of the Armenian genocide, and of the Armenian diaspora's campaign for its international recognition.
Dink was assassinated in Istanbul on January 19, 2007, in front of the Agos newspaper office. The murderer was a 17-year-old Turkish nationalist.
In an interview with Dink’s friend and journalist Aris Nalci, host Karnig Kerkonian and Garo Ghazarian talk about Dink’s legacy and impact on the Armenian diaspora and Armenian identity.

Why armenian people do not want to go to International Court of Justice? It is more than 100 years passed from "1915" event.

BTW: Dink thought that armenian in Turkey should not mix their blood with turks. This is a giant racist armenian philosophy- armenian blood cleaner than others.

Defaming Armenians with random, preposterous lies about their indigenous community leaders, in this case about Hrant Dink, is the ultimate form of racism, a pan-Turkic "variety" that is inspired by ideologies of Turkic supremacy and that tragically goes untreated, and therefore flourishes and spreads like cancer. For your sake, stop the racism, the hate, and the lies. As far as I know, there is inter-marriage with (non-racist) Turks in Dink’s family. It’s none of your business, anyway, how Armenians choose to live their life. Sticking your nose in such matters is, by the way, another show of your strong racist tendencies, as it can be construed as an attempt to control, regulate, and negatively impact the internal affairs of Armenians by spreading lies about such affairs. What you should know, however, is that Armenians are the most accepting and hospitable people in the world, having a long history (1000s of years) of integrating into multiple cultures; living in vibrant multicultural cities in historic Armenia and beyond; and being key and trusted links on trade routes all over the world. The multi-cultural richness of Armenian historic lands was gradually destroyed, chiefly due to increasing Turkic invasion, unbearably oppressive (economic, legal/judicial, political) and highly discriminatory policies of the Ottoman empire (once it established itself on indigenous lands) that led to mass religious conversions (which at the time meant Turkification) to simply survive, and also due to massacres, widespread kidnapping and sexual enslavement of villagers, and mass atrocities, including genocide. Armenians are now confined to a fraction of their lands in reservation-like conditions in Artsakh and, one can argue even in Armenia itself, similar to the conditions of the Native Americans living on reservations in the US. Would you ask a Native American why their reservations are so “homogeneous” and why are there no white settlers living on reservations? Such a question would be the ultimate form of blaming the victim in an insidiously twisted and utterly cruel way! Not only have you stolen indigenous lands, wealth, culture, and more, and forced the natives into prison-like spaces (physically and psychologically), but you also blame them for the situation! Ugly!
