Crime everywhere,Philly was no.2 city in america for most crime,averaged 75 murders a month,I lived in SW Philly ( an all black neighborhood )cops wouldn't even respond to 911 calls,if they did decide to show up,it was an hour later.Thus crime kept getting worse,so I left to join the army,now I live in Texas ( WAY better than Philly ) I can walk down the street without worrying about getting robbed or assaulted.

Tupac was electric on screen . His talent radiated off the screen. The other actors are adequate. But it’s Tupac’s movie . If he’s not able to pull off such a nuanced performance the movie doesn’t work. The ability to be childish or child like to a absolute menace is not a easy thing to do . Tupac does it with ease . Quite a incredible talent and person to lose so young.

Here's my only criticism: The main story could've put more focus on Q's development as a DJ participanting in the contest as well as evaluating his choices into peer pressure, then focus on the side plot where him and his crew get caught up in the robbery mix to raise the stakes.
