Hood Struts Upgrade - Nissan Xterra, Frontier, Pathfinder

Күн бұрынIn this video I share my experience deleting the hood prop rod and installing the hood struts. This applies not only to Nissan Xterra, Frontier, Pathfinder, but to many other non-Nissan vehicles. You just have to find the kit that is specific for your vehicle's make and model. I bought mine off Amazon for ~$60 US.

Great video well done !! this is one one coolest and most rewarding first modes I ever did as well on my Xterra makes working under the hood so much easier !

Agreed! Thanks for watching! I just completed the valve cover, gaskets, spark plugs and multiple vacuum lines replacement, and those struts kept the hood propped up nice and tall for me to get to the engine from each side. Video coming out soon. Have an awesome weekend!

A goniometer? I don't even have a protractor 😂 thats such a sweet upgrade and increase in hood lift.

Thanks! They keep the hood propped up much higher giving great access to everything from the side of the truck! I recommend the upgrade!
