Downtown Charlotte is no the hood. If U gonna show the Westside or Sugar Creek hotels you need to show more than just brookhill housing. U forgot about the Ford, West Blvd and Remount, North Charlotte, Southside housing. Hidden Valley aint nothing like it use to be but still has it rachetness. U didnt go down or through Glenwood or Tuckerseegee, Hoskins, Creektown. The old Piedmont Court and Fairview homes and over there in Dru hill the old Double Oak housing torn down and rebuild to something else Dela Hay or T Wood. Boulevard Home, The Eastside Grier Town and other on the east. Riding through 1 housing project dont define this whole city. Most people that's in Charlotte these days ain't from here. It's a hood everywhere in the US but that shit aint nothing to to bragging about. If you gonna show something show it all. Not white folk walking downtown Charlotte with a mix up with Brookhill and Sugar Creek the corner store.

I would’ve rather seen someone doing doing a Humanitary act or heard about someone getting a Scholarship than for someone riding through a Neighborhood in Brookhill. Nigga’s on this dumbass shit always on Bullshit.

The only reason Hidden Valley has any type of rep was because of the Kings. I lived there from 2004-2013 and I didn't even know of the Kings until I saw them on the History Channel. Hidden Valley is being infiltrated by white people who are jacking up the rent to kick out the poor people in that neighborhood. The Tryon Street corridor is undergoing major redevelopment and Hidden Valley is part of it. The west side is also being taken over by whites. Have you driven down Oaklawn Ave lately. They are all up and down Oaklawn, Statesville and Beatties Ford. All of the real hoods were torn down 10-20 years ago. Earle Village, Double Oaks, Piedmont Courts, Dalton Village, Fairview Homes, and Belvedere Homes are all gone.

Quick question Charlie! How do you figure out where the hoods are in each city you go to?
@angelchiyork13085 жыл бұрын
That would be my question as well. This video obviously wasn't taken by a native. The neighborhoods that were in the video were just ones that were assumed. If you get off of Remount Rd exit right off of I-77, you immediately run into Brookhill and Southside neighborhoods easily, even if you were not trying look for them. He possibly just figured because it "looked" a certain way. But if he were a native, he'd know since Charlotte is rather a "newer" type city compared to most, the "look" doesn't mean much and is easily deceived. Also, just because there were people hanging out in Noda, he assumed that it was the hood, but I know of no "hood" where you can find prices of homes that can be "$200k-$450. If based on the fact that people are hanging out, uptown Charlotte would definitely be considered the hood, especially on weekends past midnight because tons of people will be out and about, but any native of Charlotte would know that uptown Charlotte would still in no way be considered hood.
