Grizzly (Xzibit) and Stork (Anthony Anderson) are critter cops who are investigating a disturbance of the peace at between Granny (Glenn Close), her granddaughter Little Red Riding Hood (Anne Hathaway), a Big Bad Wolf (Patrick Warburton) and a Woodsman (James Belushi). As the duo interviews the parties involved they suspect Granny is not as helpless as she lets on, Red has hidden motives, Wolf is not much of a predator and the Woodsman might be as dense as the tress he cuts down.

The reason behind the movie budget being 8.000.000 is that it was re-voiced over. Original animation company had close to none extra money, then the movie was bought (by that bold Minions guy, I believe) and voiced by more expensive live action actors.
@Sassaparilla
@Sassaparilla 29 күн бұрын
No. The movie was privately financed by Maurice Kanbar. Very late in its production, it was taken up by the Weinstein Brothers for the handling of distribution, and there was some recasting at the end due to this, but most of the costs went to the Animation, which even though the price had dropped by the time it was produced, was still very expensive. Even though there were multiple high profile VAs in the original dubbing, they were not being paid a lot, they were paid scale. P Warburton, according to his own statements, only made around 20K due to the Weinsteins taking over distribution and Harvey screwing over multiple actors in the process. P Warburton was actually the first big voice to join the cast, but he was followed in the original casting by names such as David Ogden Stiers and Tom Kenny (who while no longer voicing Woolworth, Wolf W Wolf's informant, Kenny still voiced one of the cop side characters).

I was reminded of this movie's existance by one of the previous episodes on this channel. It reinvigorated a part of my memory that has been long locked away, and I have since longed for spilling the milk to watch this masterpiece. This video is what keeps me young. What keeps me light on my feet. I love my job. I love my life. All thanks to Hoodwinked. This reaction has singlehandedly unlocked a core memory, it has enabled me to feel again, feel immense joy.

People underrate good writing. I mean, the visuals of a book are literally non existent, but if the story is fire than that doesn't matter in the slightest. It's the same as how I feel about video game graphics. Who cares what a game looks like, so long as it's fun?

I remember watching this as a kid. It was one of those movies u watch as a kid where you know it's not the classic pretty Disney movie but it's still so alluring. It felt like some adult swim type stuff, and I guess I can say this movie was pretty much my own Shrek experience lol (I'd watched Shrek before at a much younger age, but didn't get it.)

I like how everyone misses the plot hole that the cable for the cable car just leads DIRECTLY INTO THE GROUND next to the police van and not, yknow, a cable car station?

So upset you didn't include the most iconic scene. Wolf: Box of candles light em up. ... Wow, that's nice and bright, what kinda candles are those? Twitchy: Dee-Na-Meat-Aye! Hmm, must be Italian! Wolf: AH, lose the candle.

*FUN FACT* :This movie was made on a budget of $8,000,000 (which is about $12,000,000 in today money), and then after release it made back *$110,000,000* . Thats fking insane to think about, and especially since its the studio's first movie and we're actively learning how to animate as they went along.

15:45 HEY! I got hit in gut by a soccer ball when I was 12 and I cried from the shock of pain. Wouldn't you guys like to know how it feels to get hit by wide coverage ball. Shock is a real thing. It's why shotguns are so powerful; you're left with numbing pain. Had it been the chest or my back I would've been fine.

Hoodwinked is a fantastic film with great comedy and amazingly written characters. Hoodwinked Too is a botched abortion of a cash grab that ruined every single character and all of the development they were lovingly given in the first one.
