Happy Mother's Day to all my fellow Moms out here❤. Tiffany that scarf is beautiful and I'm going to start working on it Tonight after we're done going out to eat. YES I do! You are either looking at the really thick one which is my JUMBO Bear Hug blanket or the cream with gold stripe one which is my Old Hollywood blanket! If you go to my channel and look under Playlists, I should have a blanket playlist you can look through OR just type those names into the search bar and they should pop up for you. 🤗💓

I’m excited I purchased your pattern yesterday 🙂 I would just like to ask you a question, is there a way to figure out how many rows of each colour if your using different colours ? I have 3 hanks of discontinued Caron X-Panton ( moody pumpkin) for a total of 381 yards , then I’m using Patons Inspired ( soft cream ) I’m planning on starting with cream, then using all of one of the 5 colours, then cream etc. I just don’t know how to figure out how much cream to do in between colours. Is there a way to figure this out ? I absolutely love this pattern and will most likely make a second one using the yarn you did. Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful patterns. 🙂

Great question! Here is how I would figure this out. Work up 2 repeats of the pattern. That will get you to the end of row 12. Then, take a piece of paper. Write 11 - 12, 10 - 11 , 9 - 10, 8 - 9, and so on. Now, come to your work, tie a knot at in the yarn to mark where you stopped. Undo row 12. Pause. Measure how much yarn you used to make row 12. Mark the yarn. Undo row 11, measure how much yarn you used to make row 11. Repeat all the way back. You will now see a pattern of how much yarn was used in each row, how much yarn it grew to and can formulate how much yarn you will need for your project. You can also measure how wide the shawl measured from the center point to the end of the last row to see how far you were able to get in 12 rows and know how your shawl will measure at the end of 24 rows. Helps you gauge. I hope this helps!!

Thank you so much for the heads up! Use the I/9 hook I have in the pattern and say in the video. I must have copied and pasted the materials section over from the previous video to keep everything uniform and made the adjustment to the yarn but not the crochet hook size. Great catch! I'll fix that now.

I signed up on Ribblr, bought your pattern and was expecting to get short video of more detailed explanations 😢but there wasn’t any. I am not a beginer but not intermidiate either...still need sme help. Watched over and over this video but its too fast for me 😢

I'm so sorry Elizabeth. If the video is too fast you can always slow it down by clicking on the settings of the video, clicking playback speed, and slowing down how fast the video goes. If you would like more help in this shawl and the ability to ask me questions directly, check out my Crochet Club Membership where we meet up every Wednesday at 7pm CST and 2 Saturdays a month at 11am CST via a zoom meeting where I can really slow down and show you how to do certain steps as you go. So for the first week I could get you set up for one row, and then for the next week I could get you set up for the next row. kind of thing. Hi! This is a lovely shawl- I bought the pattern and have been working on it for weeks. What there is of the pattern is very easy to read…. But there’s only the first 10 rows of it. I had to sit down and figure out the complicated math : how many increases on each row, the stitch count on each row etc. Even then, I keep messing up because while you wrote, for example, “Do 5 DC cross stitches” by the time I’m on row 70 I have no idea how many that is. It would be really nice if you redid this pattern with the math all done for the increases. For the amount of times I’ve had to rip out a row I could have made 4 shawls. What there is of the pattern is great, but it’s probably been my most frustrating pattern I’ve ever bought, which is a shame.

Oh I am so sorry you have had such a frustrating time with this pattern. It should be a continuous repeat of the 6 rows where you will just increase on each end and the center. But if this is creating some major difficulties I can absolutely revise the pattern to reflect the entire shawl and amount of rows I ended with. Just want to tell anyone who reads this, that Tiffany just sent me a totally revised pattern of this shawl that now goes up to 50 rows which should make it a piece of cake when I make it again in different colours! I’m unbelievably impressed she did this and so I can now 100% recommend this shawl as not only beautiful, but with an easy-to-follow pattern. Tiffany is someone who obviously stands behind her work! 👏🏻👏🏻
