The Dubs already had a player better than Kai; his name is James Wiseman. They traded him because he wasn't a fit for their system and had low basketball feel primarily relying on his athleticism. He was late on defensive rotations and was a blow by for Gs/Fs on the perimeter switches. Watching Soto's game - he's worse than Wiseman coming out of a shortened college season at Memphis.

If i can get a chance to surround CP3 with players like Saric, Sotto, Kuminga and Moddy/Quinones, i am taking it. That unit would be so much better with someone like CP3 as the primary ball handler, the bench problems would be solved. If Coach Kerr can improve their Chemistry this group has the potential to be one of the best units coming of the bench in the entire League. Judging by how good CP3 is with young players, its more of a probability than a possibility.

the 2 things that Kai Lack is Conditioning and Strengthening. Thats it. he dont need to be a good scorer. he just need to get that rebound, defend and block and the guy is a decent passer too.

Kai sotto is a very good defensive shot blocker plus he can dominate the low post area if u watch him in the nbl alot of nbl player are scared to him they rather shoot three than chalenge him imgine the presence kai have if u dont believe me watch him in nbl when ever he is court they shoot three than attck the rim..

His fans are always complaining that he don't have enough playing time without thinking of this reason, how can he earn a minutes or long playing time if : 1) His stamina is so weak, can easily get tired. 2) He can't run faster, he will only be a liability on his team's defense if opposing team capitalize his weakness in speed. 3) He is very inconsistent on his shooting. When a team is always in trouble and need a scorer or stopper at a very high pace, do you rely on this kind of player?

Kai IS NOT a great fit for the dubs. They would waste Kai's talents benching him between now and the next 4 years or whenever Curry retires. Just look at Wiseman. Dub's aren't that appealing for rookies since they're focused on a championship and having vet that can contribute now. They're not focused on developing younger players 2-3 years from now. Kuminga barely plays already, Kai would be deep in the bench. Kai would be better for with the Sacramento Kings. They are younger, they have room for development of younger players and they have as similar style of basketball to the Dubs, even more efficient in offense.

Of course just wait till the right time comes.

Sotto is a versatile playeeer only that his full potential was not utilized because of the coaching style of chot reyes which focus the ball only to Clarkson making the rest of the players as helpers only of Jordan Clarkson what performance could sotto contribute and the coach doesn't know how to instruct double teaming or triple teaming defence as we observe during the game between Dominican republic and the philippines when towns bulldoze sotto in going to the ring nobody help sotto in depending against towns who is very big could had been stopped if there was help defence
