Yep, all the Suns need to contend is: a good 3 and D PF, a good center, a good point guard, and three good bench players. They are soooo close.

Well, AD would be a good backup I guess, but too injury prone to be your starter, and clearly they are playing him too many minutes. Would OKC or Denver or the Celtics or Minnesota trade any of their players for the guy in the same position on the Lakers?

Bradley and Devin have the exact same type of player skillsets. They are not complimentary, and KD has never been an Alpha dog player that can lead through adversity. When you look at them on the floor together, they never have good chemistry with their ball flow it's you go, I go, let him go, no easy buckets from movement by that team.

They're all Type A personalities, high-achieving go-getters who got their money by being aggressive and knowledgeable in a particular business, or at least in the successful manipulation of large piles of money. But however much they know about business, and about basketball (as Ishbia clearly thinks he does) they don't get the BUSINESS OF BASKETBALL. The business side is one thing, the playing side is one thing...but building a successful title contending team...that's something Ishie CLEARLY has no clue about. He's gonna have plenty of time to learn though, since he's put his franchise behind a whole long row of 8-balls.

You can’t have 3 batmans. And 3 offensive batmans who can’t defend. Any GM worth their salt knows that 2 star shooters is all they need. The third star has to be a superstar passer or defender to balance the team. For example. wolves, got gobert. Everybody mocking them. But he really help balance the Wolves with his unselfish play and defence. Letting the others play more open.

I'm glad the Lakers are done as well. Now playoff refs will at least be fair and consistent going forward and one guy won't be allowed to travel/foul/COMPLAIN unpunished all the goddamn time. I've never seen a team get embarrassed 4 straight yrs in a row like the Suns.Choked and got gentlemen swept by the Bucks in the Finals.Got embarrassed by the Mavs at home by 40 points.The next year, they get embarrassed by the Nuggets at home again.This year, they get blown out in nearly every game & swept by the T Wolves.I've been watching basketball a long time.I've never seen a team have embarrassing endings 4 yrsin a row.I can see if they put up a good fight every time, but no.The Suns basically just rolled over & died every time.

Lebron, KD, Harden, Westbrook, Irving etc represents the era of team-stacking, team-switching, coach-killing, chucking threes, no defense, no physicality, no postup play, no defense, ticky-tack fouls, saturated by finesse, full of excuses and no accountability, etc. In other words, its the era of the soft NBA, led by Lebron and thankfully its coming to a crashing end. The NBA is watchable again and its great to see international stars and smaller market teams competing for the ring. Its so refreshing to see all the old school ball is making a full comeback led by new stars who take responsibility.

As a Suns fan, I appreciate being a realist because I tried telling everyone it was going to blow up in our faces after we got rid of Monty. I tried telling all of my friends that it was going to be an embarrassing downward spiral. the suns struggle so badly with cockiness and a lack of weighing the risks of their decisions. the decision to take beal just to lose all future trade picks was dumb and it’s being proven. you can’t just have a trio of ‘superstars’ and expect to win every game. their pride will be the downfall of them.

Detroit was the most confusing team. They would be up huge then somehow take the night off in the 4th quarter. It wasn't like they were getting outright taken behind the woodshed, but they were the bully that ran out of energy midfight. Phoenix, on the other hand, should have been the team to contend against Denver or LA or Dallas.
