Agree. And MJ is no one to decide that this guy did not have the attitude and talent to go. He should have set apart his diva shit to one side. I like way more Thomas way of carrying himself after retirement. He is generous with the basketball audience, and society in general. While MJ stays on his glass tower, not mingling and feeding his myth persona. Thats not natural.

These kids are carrying the ball everywhere … Palm under is a carry!! Now Zeke, Magic, Stock, Nash, Anderson, Mark Jackson and others know how to dribble. The fact that everyone says handle(s) speaks volumes. You handle things that you carry around.

But.... ALMOST every player in the last 20 years that "has handles" either double dribble, Palms/ carries, and travels almost EVERY time (at least one of these 3 violations). harden commits all 3 EVERY game. Cousy, Maravich etc. ALWAYS had their hands ON TOP of the ball, never took more than 2 steps and never "hesitated" (which is just a way for the NBA to allow double dribbling and walking).
@RobinXlone2 жыл бұрын
a carry is only under the ball. players put their hands on the side of the ball. thats not a carry. letting it spin in your palm is not a CARRY. hesistating and taking 2 steps is not a travel, the dribble is live. u can take as many steps if the dirbble is live
@prescriptionexercise38992 жыл бұрын
@@RobinXlone Read the rule book. that aside, The "side carry" has been loosely called since the ABA days. I'm ok with that. There are MANY instances, watch highlights/games etc, in which the hand IS under the ball. Hesitation , BY DEFINITION, is the ACTUAL manner in which a DOUBLE DRIBBLE occurs. It's illegal, but allowed in today's NBA. Taking MORE than two steps is a travel. Two is allowed, everyone knows that. What is your point there? Watch these highlights, three steps without a dribble in many instances.

You have a keen eye for the game, look at the top ten highlights today makes me realize why I never made high school teams.. a lot of politics. The amount of travelling nowadays is equivalent to all earths frequent flyer miles combined.

A conversation about GOAT handles with no MENTION of Iverson? I don't expect Isaiah to mention him; he's made it clear before how he feels about those who dribble outside the box. But for NO ONE to mention him? Smh. That's like having a discussion about GOAT RBs with no mention of Payton. It's less than sacrilege, but more than foolishness.
