I love reactions like this because it's exactly how I felt when I first discovered Lovebites earlier this year. For me, they're the best new band in 20 years, maybe more. I've bought everything they've released and there's not a band song among them. They were supposed to be touring their new album now but obviously that was cancelled... so they've been recording more new music instead! They're amazing.

Miho and Haruna (Bass, Drums) were the core of a legendary metal group called Destrose. They wanted to go heavier, and left the band. (Miho is a complete metalhead, her collection of metal band t-shirts is supposedly over 500). She decided to put her own band together, recruited Haruna, and they recruited Midori, Miyako and Asami (Guitars, Vocals). Miyako and Miho compose most of their material, Asami helps with lyrics. That's highly condensed 🙂

'Epilogue' live harkens back to those 80's metal power ballads. One of my favorites and a nice change of pace.

Lovebites is my favorite band at this time. I have 3 of their cds including Electric Pentagram the new one. They don't have a bad song! I listen to them all day every day!

I was first introduced to Band Maid after checking out a reaction review of Baby Metal. I really enjoyed what Band Maid had to offer and watched a reaction video of their song "Dice" where someone in the comment section recommended they review Lovebites "Shadowmaker". So I casually look up Shadowmaker and watch the video. Talk about mind blown! No offense to Band Maid (as I enjoy what they put out in the Rock category) but Lovebites is on a WHOLE OTHER LEVEL!! I have been completely addicted to this band for the last 6 weeks (imported both Concert DVD's from Japan and have downloaded every song they have to offer). They have literally dropped into my Top 5 bands of all time. These ladies are beyond talented and dare I say the greatest female Metal band (and easily my favorite Metal band) of all time.

I saw them live last year in Osaka. They were incredible live. One of the single best live shows I have ever seen.

Wait until you see Miyako (right side,) play guitar with one hand and keys with the other hand live.

If you want more solo, just see their live performance from tokyo : Epilogue (balad), scream for me. Swan song, Break the Wall and many more. Their music are awesome but they underrated. Everyone who love metal must know them..

It's good to hear someone praising Asami's vocals. I've seen a few reaction channels recently say that her vocals are putting them off, which is a shame but I totally get it as it's so subjective. Highly recommend their live performance of Swan Song next. I loved it on the album but the live version is on another level. The whole Five of a Kind blu-ray is amazing. Lovebites world-class master musicians to me IN MY OPINION there is no other better, although some do come close to their caliber. I challenge you to do a Lovebites mv reaction every day for a week and I promise you will not be disappointed. I know for a fact because I have their entire collection already, every single song gets better and better

Small, cute, diligent, serious and humble Japanese girls kick your ass. People around the world still don't know that Japan is a treasure trove of girls' metal and rock bands.

I think one thing that is very impressive is how the guitarists manage to play these intricate solos in harmony and not miss a damn note! And the drummer's thighs can probably crush rocks!

Iam in love from Bolivia Latinoamerica, LOVEBITES, Guitarists Miyako and Midori are both from the city of Osaka, both took piano lessons for years (Midori also learned organ), and both took up the guitar relatively late. Midori went to music school - Musicians Institute Osaka branch, where one of her instructors was the late Mikio Fujioka, lead guitarist of Babymetal's Kami Band - and Miyako is basically self-taught. Miyako made use of a well-known instructional book series, whose title literally translated into English is "Mechanical Training Phrases from Hell", working her way through the entire guitar series. There are versions of these instructional books for bass and drums too, and there's hardly a Japanese musician on those instruments who hasn't studied them.

I honestly believe they are the best band out there at the moment. They have so many layers to their music, touching on different metal styles. They are master musicians, great songwriters, excellent lyricists, and a vocalist who can sing with the best of them. Any one of their songs would be a good pick to react to but the one that stands out for me is The Crusade. It has an Iron Maiden vibe but with their own style. I always recommend trying to find a live song.

Everything you need to know about this band is summed up by the fact that the bassist Miho (who started the band with the drummer) was in a Pantera cover band in high school. I have been a fan of Lovebites since 2017 when they 1st created music, they have always wanted to Heavy metal especially NWOBHM mixed with Power Metal. Never looked back. All of their 3 albums and 2 EPs are just so awesome. When I 1st saw them in 2017 in the UK I was witnessing something huge on the way from them and I am not wrong. They have won Best New Band by Metal Hammer Golden Gods in 2018. I do highly listen to all their albums

Both guitarists started learning the guitar quite late in life. Midori, the one on the left started at twenty and Miyako, the one on the right at eighteen. They are now in their late twenties.

Mind blown. Replacement mind en route. Further replacements on auto-order. Lovebites is real. No guests in this band. Even their road crew has to be top notch. One thing I note is Midori, Miho and Miyako all step up to their pedal boards and step to change pedals themselves. These ladies are professional and know their craft from top to bottom. You should do Thunder Vengeance Live, We the United and Swan Song. The latter two you get Miyako on piano.
