I got one today for my elderly friend. Its a really nice desgin. Pieces clicked together nicely. Its satisfying to click and unclick the pieces together! You can tell this machine has been designed with passion. It cleans easy enough. My elderly friend is 82 and he understood after a few goes what to do. This machine is SUPER light. I live in a small park home so this hoover is PERFECT for that. I doubt you want one of these if your home is large... dont bother if you have a large messy familly. This Hoover is for small homes and car cleaning. Sadly as mentioned here and lots of comments say the battery... OH WHY??? Hoover made a beautiful little machine yet the battery.... so so sad. I paid £159 for this hoover with one battery. You really really want to have two batteries. Put the hoover in turbo mode and your battery will die within 10 minutes. You can charge with the battery in the hoover or take the battery out and charge. I have used this machine 4 times and never got close to even half n hour on battery. Thanks for the review! I am considering getting in touch with Hoover to discuss this battery problem... if there is any way they can release a more powerful lonniger lasting battery.
@lords-electrical4 жыл бұрын
This is a problem with a lot of cordless vacuums, that if you use the vacuum on turbo mode then it won't last long. The main question is do you need to use the vacuum on turbo mode all the time. Most of the time the normal suction should be used and you will really benefit from the longer run time
@olderloverxx4 жыл бұрын
@@lords-electrical good point. I was maybe using turbo a little too much! The battery problem (just having one) remains kind of an issue here though. If the battery runs out halfway through hoovering it's s pain having to wait hours for a recharge! this would especially frustrate my stubborn elderly friend who will mostly be using it. No one really likes to leave a job unfinished. I am going to try it next week and time how much I get out of normal use (no turbo) .. totally new to the cordless vacuum idea. Definitely the way forward! Thanks for your reply. Any suggestion for a cheap place to buy a spare battery?

I haven’t tried it yet..waiting for the battery to charge, but I like the way it can be easily dismantled to store, I’d needed, I bought the model with two batteries , so I can have one charged up as a back up. @@donovanvaz3289 No I haven’t bought another …I realised how good my old Miele cylinder hoover is…even though it uses a bag! I still have it . I do think a stick hoover is good for carrying up and down stairs and also vacuuming the stairs, and for a quick hoover before guests arrive. I guess you gets what you pay for …friends seem to like a Shark or a Dyson…they have a bigger canister ( although, I wouldn’t buy a Dyson out of principle!). Both are quite expensive in my opinion. Hope that helps

@floydlazare85863 жыл бұрын
Confused me too, which is why I was looking through the comments. I got an idea by looking at www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/hoover-h-free-500. I found it easiest to remove the brush bar, as in the video and slide out the furry strip, as shown in the instructions, section 16. You can see two channels in front and behind the place where the brush bar will sit. Slide one wiper blade into each. Then refit brush bar. Hope this helps.

Really good presentation but 25 minutes run? that will do only two bedrooms and if i want to finish the whole house I have to wait and charge it again for hours? that is not practical..it puts me off completely. What were they thinking?
@valerieg5674 Жыл бұрын
I watched this video when I first bought my H Free 500 and found it to be really helpful. I've had it for about 2 years now and its still going strong. However, I have a question which I'd be very grateful if someone could answer. The brush bar has become a bit sticky and not very nice although the bristles are still good. I was wondering whether it would be ok to immerse it in warm water with some mild detergent to clean it.

⚠ Just purchased one of these. Using turbo and carpet mode reduces the runtime to about 10 mins. Battery gets really hot, and takes way longer than the advertised 6 hours to recharge. Excellent pickup if you only intend to use it for a quick job, and once a day. Otherwise, I would avoid buying one of these. Should come with a spare battery like some other cordless Hoover models. Spare genuine battery is over £100 to buy separately, so not economically viable.
