Here’s a quick look of my Hoover WindTunnel Supreme before refurbishment. It’s in good shape, just needs a good cleaning. Also I need to take a look at the switch to see why it’s acting up.

Wow, you got a good deal for this Hoover Windtunnel supreme for being in this good of condition. Also the extra pack of bags they gave you made it even better of a deal. The reason why the power switch doesn’t turn off is because who ever owned it last installed the handle with the main red power switch being in the on position. All you have to do is take the handle off and turn the main power switch off and install the handle back. That should fix the issue.

I had a similar Windtunnel Supreme like that one in the same translucent blue color, but mine had the tan bumper, tan attachments, and a red slider switch (btw, I think that may be your issue with yours). That brush roll design looks very interesting with the neon green bristles, that was likely for an Empower originally initially, and does look to have been made by CWP, but usually a lot of the replacement CWP brush rolls typically have yellow bristles. Lastly when this was made in Mexico, I have no memory of these being made in China (maybe the Widepath Tempo in its final years before discontinuation), but in Mexico especially, even after they were purchased by TTI, the only thing that seemed to change about them between owners were the motors, and the TTI ones had that loud screeching motor that doesn't sound as pleasant as these Maytag ones are.

I think it might be a CWP, because I saw it said made in USA. It is kind of strange that it is green instead of yellow.

May of 2006, last year of Maytag ownership of Hoover before tti bought them in 2007

these are reliable machines for sure, outside of a kirby these clean very well and they last for years and years. reliability is rarely an issue with these older Hoover wind tunnels. I have one that is much newer but its the same machine. one of the last ones they made, I absolutely love it

I have used some Eureka F&G machines, then tried one of these. It didn't pick anymore up, but you are right, these older WT do hold up well. Definitely better than anything made today with Hoover name on it

I have the same model. I had the switch replaced once. It worked for a while and it got stuck again. Now I plug it in the outlet and the machine turns on and to turn off the machine I have to unplug it from the outlet.
