Even if the song recalls the Amalfi Coast (wildly curling beautiful Hypno-tising, there aren't better words to explain how beautiful that coast is), Ischia is just an amazing set for the video, I'm in love with that island, along with Procida.

Same as Mad About You was produced for the voice of Geike, Amalfi was produced to suit the voice of Noemie and I can't imagine anyone else singing this song. I wish Noemie went back to the band TOGETHER with (now back) Geike and the band created new material suited for both voices.

Was eerst niet zo voor Noémie Wolfs, maar blijkbaar hebben ze op de nieuwe CD de juiste toon en stijl gevonden om haar te laten ontplooien tot een mooie zachte stem. Hooverphonic ligt weer wat hoger op de algemene waarderingsschaal.

En nu terug weer een diepe duik in de algemene waarderingsschaal :) Ik vond Noémie veruit de beste zangeres die ze hebben gehad, hun optreden in de Koningin Elisabethzaal was in mijn ogen het summum van hun carrière! Ik denk eerlijk gezegd dat ze er beter de brui aan hadden gegeven na Noémie

noemie is amazing. i have been a hoover fan since their first. and yes i loved them for their trip hop sound. as i love massive attack and portisheadhead. and even recoil. but things change. new hoover is amazing music also. yes its poppy. so, SO WHAT good music is good music. everyone sets up walls and barriers but wow good music is good music. her voice is amazing. you miss Geike go get her solo album, its pretty good! but don't take away from hooverphonic moving on. making music. melody. nice

For all the people who have commented ... Whether they are foreign or Italian ... We inhabitants of the island of Ischia we would like very much to our land, and then we complain if it is not out of malice. The song could also be called Porto Torres is clear that they had to specify maybe at the end of the song that the video clip was shot entirely on the island of Ischia! So you try to confuse people who do not know this land can be confused with Amalfi!

For people that say : 'where's the Hooverphonic of the 90's' : 1. Hooverphonic has another singer. 2. When Hooverphonic made music in the 90's they actually covered much songs that were very old, and less known, but still had some kind of authenticity. What they make today is kind of experimental. Every band needs something to inspire. This is their way to bring some inspiration to new bands.

My school did a dance performance to this song and it was really cool because they played as wind up dolls in these really pretty dresses that danced and came alive when their maker left and towards the end of the song the dancers started moving slower and slower because they were powering off It was so cute 😊
