Easily my favorite Hooverphonic album; this was the song that introduced me to them. One of the things that I love about it is how aggressive it is despite the laid-back vibe and sparse instrumentation. This whole album is a masterpiece.

As a hip hop fan, this is truly, one of my favorite non-hip hop songs in my vast collection. I can't get enough of this song. I can literally play it over and over for a ridiculous amount of time in one sitting without tiring of it. Today is the first time I saw the video to it. I was perplexed as I didn't know what was going on besides a variety of people gathering to play a lottery to win a ride in space? I have a pretty twisted sense of humor and mindset so I fully enjoyed the video, too! (laughing)

@@SpairoG I was just gonna say the same lmao. This song just played on Netflix “You people” with Jonah Hill. I had the Hooverphonic original for years and didn’t realize it was sampled for this hip hop song. I myself am a hip hop head however this song in it’s entirety transcends genres. It’s good to be around like minded people👍🏽

@@theylivewesleep4682 I heard it on "You People" as well. I looked into it some more and found out that the sample is actually from a Isaac Hayes song from 1969. I had been listening to the Hooverphonic song for decades and never knew.

However, with the very greatest of respect and deference to the stellar writing skills of the group, what does the "serial number of our orbital gun" have to do with "you're not the only one that can hurt me", and Elvis too? I understand the principles of theoretical linguistics, but this has me stumped. Signed, Mystified.
