Here's an idea. Rebuild the engine. Then find a '71-'72-'73 Ford Pinto and electrify THAT. I had more than a few back in the day. Nice handling lil cars!! They got a bad rap over exploding gas tanks when rear-ended. Happened to me 3 times, I'm still breathing!!! Gas tank gone, no fire hazard. That will be IF you can find one, they rusted pretty fast. My favorite was a '71 coupe with a 2-liter and an automatic. After I adjusted the valves and cleaned the carb, I put premium fuel in and she'd squeek the tires on the 1-2 shift!! It came with a new set of Michellin tires on and the handling was really good! Brakes, not so much. DO IT.

A Targa that had the Targa bit cut off and a folding roof that looks like I made it installed. It's a bag of bits anyway, non-original bits at that, you might as well put a different motor in.

Reversible EV swap would be interesting. I think I've seen bolt in kits that uses existing mount poins for everything, and that way it could be easily converted back later. Might want to just keep the engine (as is) though.

We had the same issue now on a 2.7 Sebring 2002, removing the spark plug and connect with the heads covers? + delete lifters, so valve stay close. Just wondering.

I love the idea of an EV swap on that car. That process would be really interesting to watch and it would be so cool to see how the car performs afterward.

I always change the oil, clean out the gas tank, fuel line and fuel filter. Disconnect the fuel line and run the pump to remove any fuel line junk. Squirt some oil into the cylinders and flush the radiator. Change the thermostat. Install a new battery and start cranking.

Strip it down for lightweight, sell each part individually and make it a racing spec evo with resto mods on select suspension parts. Sell everything that doesn't need to be in the car. I'd LOVE to see that. I bet you could have fun seeing how much you can get for it part by part.

A really radical idea if you EV the new Porsche, is to rebuild that engine and put it in your replica. Superior transaxle too, as sure you said the replica uses a VW Beetle box. The Beetle transaxle can be used with the EV conversion, where a wide choice of gears isn't required.
