I updated my custom figure design for hopefully the last time! After animating “My second custom figure” I found out that magnets are really not the best thing for this project. That animation was a nightmare to animate! The magnets stuck to each other, They weighed the arms down, and they moved more easily then the wire making it hard to make a smooth animation. I made it seem like magnets were the big breakthrough and the key to a custom figure but really the breakthrough was the replaceable wire! The skeleton of the figure is just paper pipes strung together with pipe cleaners making it very easy to replace! This is the design I used for the mech Godzilla and lofty mech. I may make a tutorial at some point, but this figure may also tern out to have a lot of flaws, so stay tuned while I test it!
