My junior trip was a few weeks ago and it was honestly one of the best days I can remember. I spent a lot of time with my friends, but I caught feelings for one just a little bit before the trip honestly. It was great, we went around the themepark alone for a bit, riding coasters. I said I was going to ask her out but never found the nerve. The bus ride home was really bittersweet- she was right in front of me, the entire time, but I was honestly too tired to even talk on the way back. Nobody had any energy honestly. I was just surrounded by my friends, in a pitch black bus, and I put my head on the window and watched the world go by as the sun set. It was one of the most peaceful few hours of my life- no internet, no nothing, just surrounded by my friends in a moment of peace and quiet after a wonderful day. I put this song, and a few of his other covers, on during that time. This song in particular brings me back because of that girl. I remember she turned around and looked at my seat for a few seconds. Now the summer is beginning and I still haven't asked her out, and it's unlikely I'll see her my senior year. Some things weren't meant to be I guess, but those memories? Those happy memories stay, and this song was a part of that.
