The Reason your Midas wasnt increasing was because your fire sword was killing them,not ur Midas. In the chat it was saying "went up in flames" instead of "slain by .... Midas sword"

BTW after midus is sharpness 3 it will no longer be a guarantee for the upgrade it's like a 50% chance of upgrading

Piglins will attack you if they see you open any containers such as chests, if they hear you break chests/gold, and if you attack a piglin or piglin brute. piglin brutes (gold axes and black shirt) always attacks you too

You're not supposed to have no fog on.

You are allowed to use no fog, the rule talks about resource packs or mods that remove the fog under lava.
