There has since been a change in the tridents since I recorded this video: Loyalty books have to be crafted separately now (New Craft!) Do you think this is a good change?

Yeah because otherwise you can't put riptide on the trident (riptide and loyalty cancel each other)

good to remember, trident does the same dmg as an dia/iron/stone axe, but is faster in cooldown, so u can use it as an axe or spam it upclose cuz itll return super fast if ur standing close

Loyalty by default on tridents are op but you're gonna have to make a grindstone to disenchant and put riptide Riptide is the best mobility in hoplite

I had a game where i was full enchanted diamond with sword too, it was a great lucky game and this was before i had even gotten a kill but some unenchanted iron guy showed up, woth a trident..long story short i got destroyed, when i chased, he ran and turned and shot, when i gave up he chased and shot

I hadn't even heard about the update at that point too so I was so confused on how he got so lucky for loyalty cuz he was in the same cave most of the game

yeah but there's a few things to consider: Throwing it risks a chance that I miss, and have to wait for the cooldown again. ALSO when I melee for the lighting strike, I'm also doing like an extra ~10 dmg as its technically a diamond axe. So in that situation I saw it as the smartest move to use mjolnir to melee
