I'm starting a music production and sound engineering course at uni in a month with a hope to be a studio engineer. Seeing this video really helped secure my goal. There is a lot I will have to learn but I can't wait. Cheers for the video mate

interesting to see other people work, but i’m also happy, that i got out of this music recording business. once in a while this might be fun, but not on a daily basis!

Your studio looks amazing that's a steal only £250 with all that equipment being used and time taken to mix. looking forward to any more video's like this in the future :)

Thanks! Yes indeed it was, there may have been a couple of small issues in the session (someone missing an arrangement cue, bad cable etc) but I couldn’t really film those and sort them at the same time, and when they’re 20 second fixes it’s all part of a days work

Thanks for the quick reply I've been working my way up from not playing in the band and now recording I can say I'm learning fast at 58 and don't miss carting PA systems around and in my day W Bins that took up space in the F100 and that's all you would get in it, anyhow thanks again as people like yourself really make learning easier ! kind Regards from Austrailia!

nice channel. Very good to see a professional using Reaper. I'm trying to learn it in depth whilst having a superficial understanding of pro-tools using pro-tools first. Can't even work out how much pro-tools would cost me long term with their obsuce updates policy...$60 for Reaper which they trust you to pay ...no contest !

Hey so I’ve Ben watching this vid for a while what are you using to sim all the mics and also on the time stamp 8:19 what are you using?like the eq and 3D modeled things I’m sorry if it’s a dum question I’m really unexperenced and use reaper as well, but is it separate plugins in like another plug in or one big one that has all that. Thank you for the help :)

DX7! XD and session horns. Uptown gonna funk you up sir...XD. £250 sounds pretty good value to me, especially if the band is tight enough to track 4 songs in a day. Does that include the full mixing service etc?

Yeah that includes mixing - at least if it's in the allotted time. I charge for time rather than services, which means if the band takes forever tracking it's on them, but if they're well rehearsed they get value.
