I think introspective people gravitate towards these types of artist, and why they get almost a cult like following. When you live inside your head, and you hear someone portray thier struggles in a way that is both relatable but also artistic, it makes you feel like you have a voice, even if you dont know how to talk about it. Man.. NF and Hopsin releasing new music.. what a great time to be alive 🔥

WOAH! Change of scenery! That threw me off. Lol. This song shows why the collab with NF was so great. They’re both extremely self conscious and “nitpick” everything about who they are and what they stand for. Two of the realest in the rap game!

I was looking forward to seeing your reaction to this. Isn't this amazing? Stevie Knight just posted PT 1 of his interview with Hopsin today. Hopsin is such an amazingly talented man. I deal with those negative thoughts too and he did such a great job portraying that in this song. And I agree some people do commit suicide to just end their misery, but others do it more for revenge and go out in a dramatic way.

Joyner is in his lane of rap, He alongside rappers like Logic or NF are under the umbrella of Eminem...Vulnerable creative rap with absurd lyrical ability. This song in general is very reminiscent of Eminem's "My Darling"/"Guilty Conscience"

Great reaction to a really creative music video. Never listened to Hopsin but this video has made me a fan. I love the self awareness and vulnerability Hopsin shows, he is facing his internal interpretation of himself but realises it’s just a story he is telling himself in which he has a choice to believe or not. Also that Sadhguru clip at the end really brought everything together. Sadhguru always shares interesting perspectives to internal dialogue. I would love for you to react to J Cole - Love Yourz. Shoot, Hop had way more great tracks other than the Ill Mind series. The Purge, Lowkey, False Advertisement, Picasso, Fly, All Your Fault, Sag My Pants, Nocturnal Rainbows and Hop Is Back. These are some of the other ones I really like. As far as Joyner Lucas, Zim Zimma and Evolution are fire. So is Devils Work, Suge Remix with Tory Lanez, ISIS ft Logic and most of his remixes. Both of these artists are fire.

your commentary on suicide can be boiled down to "romanticized narratives"... humans in general think in narratives, and for thoughts of suicide to overpower your strongest instinct (survival), you need to come up with one hell of a story to fuel it. On the labeling thoughts point, one thing I've always found useful is the knowing that I cant control the thoughts that pop into my head unconsciously, however, I can ALWAYS introduce a positive thought consciously, which helps to disrupt downward spirals very quickly.
