The only problem I have with what you said is when you said even if its God don't let them tell you need to be more. I agree with you on the people should tell him he needs to be more, because when it comes to humans weather we admit or not our thoughts will always be clouded because deep down at the root of things we are really looking out for ourselves and we don't even realize it. God is the only one we should seek so He can be the person He created us to be. Now that doesn't mean that we are always going to do what He wants, that's our choice to make. We all have a purpose but the biggest mistake we often make is when we think we know God's plan for our lives. He sends us through situations so that we can learn to prepare us for whatever He called us to do in life. I learned that just because He has us start out doing one thing, it doesn't mean that it's the final destination. Often times we pray and ask God to help us but if His plan doesn't go according to what we think it should be we get upset because we don't understand His reasoning. We also ask for Him to take away things, and when He starts to take them away we grab hold of it and do our best to not let it go. I know this from experience. Sometimes when we ignore God all chase after what we want instead of asking Him, He allows us to have it just to prove that our way is not His way and the very thing we thought was gonna be our biggest blessing ends up being our deadliest curse. Look at it from this standpoint, when your getting into a relationship with someone, both parties have to be willing to sacrifice things that prevent them from the things that could tear you apart. Over time you get to know each other and in the process you go through situations that depending on how we handle it, we can either grow from it or causes us to take a step back. Your loyalty to that person will have to grow and vice versa. If you make all the sacrifices and another person comes along and takes you for granted or chose other over you you'll start to feel some kind of way. It takes time though. You don't want to be the only one that is making all the sacrifices you need to make to get the relationship further. It's a team effort. I've watched your videos enough to know that you bring it straight from the heart regardless of how people may feel and I love that. Now these are just my opinions. You may have a different point of view and I can respect that. I hate when people get divided and judge others because their views may not be the same. At the end of the day respect is respect. One thing I can say about your "more than a rapper" rant: there's a difference between being a rapper and being an artist. Recent history has shown us that literally ANYONE can be a "rapper", but the vast majority of these people will NEVER be artists. They steal beats, they ripoff flows, they have ghostwriters, they start beef for no reason to generate buzz because they can't do it with actual talent. In this day and age, being a rapper doesn't mean shit because it doesn't take talent or dedication anymore. These worthless hacks have tarnished the term "rapper", perhaps irreparably, and it's been the subject of many a Hopsin song. So to want to be more than a rapper is an easy sentiment to get behind, because being "just" a rapper gets you lumped in with a LOT of trash. And yes, I know plenty of top-tier *artists* in the genre often refer to themselves as "just rappers", like Em, NF, etc, but we all know they're in a league of their own. Hopsin is just calling it out and I don't see how you could blame him for that. Or, in a less metaphorical sense, maybe that line in the song is about Hop trying to be a business man, a father and an actual person rather than the character he portrays behind the mic.
