Does anyone notice the vibey pentatonic guitar scales on the beat. That shit fucking rocks. And the little distorted guitar bends in between. David Savage I get why you think it’s corny, and I don’t necessarily disagree, but the message of the song definitely rings true. It’s somehow not lame to rap about shooting and robbing and killing but because dude rapped about not being an idiot it’s garbage? Nah dog, I’m not bumping this in the car or anything and i don’t consider myself a hop fan but fact of the matter is people idolize IDIOTS and the rap game in particular pumps out a bunch of negative nonsense that gullible people love to listen to. Criticizing his flow, the production, etc is all subjective and all fair game but the moral of the song literally cannot be disputed, it’s just the honest truth.
