finally got to record this beast again. probably my favorite siren.

Imma just do this for anyone who is confused about the fact that this is called a "Super Sirex" instead of a "Sirex". There is a photo of a single head super sirex that was tested in Des Moines, Iowa from a newspaper article , that clearly shows the lettering "Super Sirex 15" on the side of the siren. The actual HOR Sirex was an omnidirectional 10 horsepower siren. There are currently only 4 Omni Sirexes that are active, three in Massapequa, New York, and one in Arbyrd, MO. There used to be units in Phoenix, Arizona and there was one in West Hempstead, NY.

@@dank980 I wrote that comment a little while back but now I know that it’s a super sirex. There are 2 versions of the super sirex: The 15 horsepower (the one in this video) and the model 50 (the one in Adrian MO)

This siren gives me so much chills, imagining hearing this at night. Edit: There is just so many rare sirens in Ohio, this one is a unique one.

@@littleexperience2.._._._._._.. Fedelcode Model 5QC, First production ASC T-128, some jailbar thunderbolts, some hornets, RM-127s and this super Sirex of course! There were hurricanes in Ohio, but they were taken down. Also there’s an Alertor, an AL-4000, and a whelen 3016. I know the T-128, hornets, and this super Sirex are still up.

If I heard this outside for anything, I would probably shit myself. That is the sound of my nightmares. Trust me, Kim Jong Fatass and his nuclear weapons do give me nightmares. Along with a very troubled childhood. Although the sirens I usually hear in the nightmares are 2001’s. Come on brain, make it scary, not annoying.

In the past, in our place precisely dicluster 1 exxon mobil oil driller area Arun Aceh Utara Indonesia Every Sunday at 12.00 always lit the siren... but now during the transition to the Government of Indonesia never heard the siren sound song. I miss hearing want to listen to it again...🥺🥺

5 of the 8 thunderbolts are still active, the other 3, (hamilton high school, Lincoln elementary, and rt 4) are gone. the rest are staying.

it's important to note; these aren't eas alarms, they're outdoor warning sirens controlled individually by each county and city. EAS alarms are part of an alerting system controlled by the US government.
