The best of it I have ever heard. I have heard so many renditions from so many great players but strangely enough, non of them was so clear qnd balanced as this one. The one from Accardo, or Heifetz, are great but not as precise and sweet as this. This is the one I really feel the way Hura Staccato should be.

Note that she does upbow staccato, where Heifetz does downbow, that's not the same difficulty. This explains that.

@@dsongf1 Actually I more care about the right rhythm and the precision of the notes than the kind of the steccatto because that alone, I feel, wouldn't prove anything by itself as long as you fail to keep the right rhythm and accuracy for such a difficult piece which has a great deal of peculiar notes.

Her playing is great! But to compare with Heifetz, he's in another level. Heifetz did the down bow staccato in this piece, which is a lot harder than up bow staccato.

Some players can do down-bow staccato brilliantly whereas the others cannot. “Pity” has nothing to do with one’s ability to execute a certain stroke and is generally not the most encouraging choice of words. A more encouraging comment would have been smth like, “Brava! I have no doubt that you will play down-bow staccato in the future just as beautifully. Looking forward to hearing your next rendition, staccatoing up and down.” But to write “pity for an otherwise amazing performance” sends a confusing and mixed message.

@@sergeytsoy8429I mean, regardless of how you frame it, you’re still pointing out something that was omitted from the performance. You’re not wrong that down bow staccato can’t be done by all players, but it is a show piece, and people tend to expect that aspect of virtuosity when seeing it performed. She did a great job.

Very clear articulation and wonderful slur staccato. How about some down bow staccatos? And spiccato in the middle section. I am sure you can do it. You look like a jew but by name it seems a Japanese.

I very much agree with the first part of your comment, I noticed it was primarily up bow staccato and some down bow might add a bit of fire to the performance! I’m not sure how the last part is relevant to the performance though?
