They really did nail NG+ for this game. Most surprised but ecstatic they gave us all the special gear when we entered The Daunt and also the flying mount although you have to override a new Sunwing and the earliest opportunity is on top of your base. I’m doing two NG+ runs first on easy to spend the new champion points and farm all the upgrades for the weapons, armour & gear I’ll use on my second playthrough on Ultra Hard :)

even if they did not do so Literally too early as far back as starting at the carjan Daunt. (06:43). let alone assumed-to-have at least another different aerial machine unit being mountable now available. Not yet sadly.

I went through the melee pits on NG+ Very Hard ( to more quickly get and upgrade all the new weapons) Then again on NG+ Ultra Hard and it does NOT increase your spear damage any further.

All or more aerial mounts. All of some of the bigger GAIA units becoming mountable. non-microtransactional coop features. etc.

@@RobTheDoodler 'restricting' the power of the mounts you get.'. putting some of my disappointments from hearing that aside for a moment, but Exactly! or guerrilla does not do that but instead buff the majority of non-player-allied/mounted/etc machines' offensive/defensive/durabilty pattern instead.

I beg to differ on Melee being nonviable until reaching near the end of the game. With the way enemies fight you, trying to get in your face, it's nice to punish them for it.

I love these changes ng+ feels like how it should. Playing it on buffed up mode with more buffed up things to do instead of doing the same things over with no change. I love that the sunwing and diving+flower gear is already unlocked. It was already such a headache to go through water stuff the first time around.

1st of all I wanna say I love your videos, you are so informative and help me alot when I play some of my games well most of them lol.. So when you was talking maylay pits, I also seen the +1 Maylay damage, So after already having my spear maxed out because of a play through I did already, I completed the maylay pits and it did not increase My spears damage.😪😪😪😪

i really love the transmog. You can go through the entire game with the Ancient armor or the Iconic armor. Loves it!!

I'm really happy with the NG+ but since the update i got the few sec black screen bug/problem again. The new stuff is nice but I'm a bit sad no new armor but i like the Irvis bow that thing is sick.

The color scheme of the new dyes..... the quen face paint.... VERY SUS. Orange is associated with fire and burning.... dlc expansion is very likely to be called The Burning Shores. Back in HZD we got a little bit of Banuk in the base game, but they became more central in TFW (granted, we did get Banuk armor in the base game, but still). In HFW, we've seen a little bit of Quen in the base game.... we got maybe one or two Quen weapons, I think..... but no armor. Now we get face paint in NG+. I'm guessing they might be central to the story of The Burning Shores expansion, and we'll get Quen armor and more Quen weapons (hopefully). It is kind of a bummer we didn't get new Legendary armor, but I guess they're saving that for the expansion. They can probably only make armor so powerful, plus I guess they want us to fully enjoy transmog.

Just started a NG+, and noticed two things. One, generic, is that dialog audio glitches are back, worse than before. Frustrating, but subtitles help. Second is about the Firegleam Igniter. I got an igniter at Latopolis during my first play through, and it worked fine when I started NG+. I was able to ignite firegleam all over the place... right up to the point when I got to the big door at Latopolis. At that point the game "forgot" that I had an igniter, and I had to go back to the bench to make a new one. Hmmm. I wonder if the same thing will happen to my Diving Mask when I get to "Sea of Sands"

Well an easy way to see if the extra Spear damage stacks is to see if it's been reset to pre-Melee Pit numbers. Is the increase still there from the regular game or has it been reset? Easy to check that.

The first time I play I missed all the dialogue option with varl at the base, and i didnt play strike with errend when ive the chance, now I won't made the same mistake. Go play strike with errend right before the last mission, that game is the one varl play with errend right before they head to Gemini.

Best time to do ultra Hard would be on the 3rd playthrough that way you can grind all your weapons an armoured and equipment on the second time so you don't have to worry about resources on the third playthrough

I kinda broke progression abit by flying towards the quen before recovering the last subordinate function and i got to talk with them etc. It was going fine up until the thunderjaw part in which case the people at thebes didn't say anything and the thunderjaw didn't spawn kek

Question is , I actually never finished the main quest the 1st time - I am currently carrying the last AI and was thinking of going to complete a bunch of the side quests but now that NG+ is out, maybe I should just finish the main quest fast and just start a NG+ to play through everything side quests and all ?

Is there anyway to brighten up the shops when looking at armor and dyes? There’s a weird shadow in front of aloy whenever I’m in the shop menus blocking most of her body

Even though you get the sunwing override right away, you can't fly to LA, until the story sends you there. There is an invisible wall over the ocean. However the old trick of summoning the sunwing near this wall gets you through. The location loads perfectly, but when I went to the quen camp, the cutscene about meeting Ceo started playing immediately, but the according quest didn't appear. I don’t know if I broke the game by going there, but I hope I didn't.

@@jbac5767 well officially after you unlock the base. The override is available right away, there are just no sunwings in the first part of the map. But maybe you can cheese the game and find one earlier. I couldn't

I'd like to see 1 issue fixed and 1 addition: 1.I'd like for an issue fixed of the campfires. Each time you want to either quick/manual save or fast travel you have to almost be right on the campfire. And it's too sensitive. Each time you move Aloy just a trigger the choices disappear quick. It's annoying as hell! 2.I would love to have a harpoon gun to hunt/fight the aquatic machines like the Tide Ripper or even the Burrowers underwater. I hunt machines on land would be nice if I could hunt underwater!

Just finished ng+ on ultra hard with only level one legendaries because they are too much to level up on UH. It's very doable just make sure to loot everything through all your main missions.

I wish they did some cross promotion with the outfits. Imagine aloy dressed in the spiderman outfit (I'd pay good money to see that) or a samurai themed outfit from ghost of tsushima.

I also noticed you are no longer able to visit the Far Zenith base or cross the ocean on a sunwing until the end of the game, even with the earlier tricks of gliding off and getting picked up by your mount, as the game now won’t even let you fly straight once you hit the barriers! Also, for those that wanted to change their response to Avad (romance or shut him down) in the prologue, that is now skippable, so either you will love that you can just jump back in or regret that you won’t get more play time with Varl…iykyk…🥺😢😭

Im trying to replay it but i really feel like so many missions are just traversal puzzles. Like how do you cross this flooded room, how do you climb this building ect, so many are just spending a half hour climbing around to get from A to B....

Idk where, but somewhere/somehow I got a +100 tear damage coil and it’s absolutely insane. I was surprised they didn’t nerf it.

That’s from the Hunter in scalding spear. You keep buying them on subsequent NG+ play throughs and stack them up for instant tear on anything.

But you can get every ng+ items in like one ng+ game right? A fried told me you need to play the Main quest like 15 Times.

I hope they do something like AC Odyssey where your extra skill points past soft cap can be used for stats. I have ~300 hours in AC Odyssey, did 4 playthroughs, plat trophy, everything in the game, and still had a small fraction of what I could get with the stat upgrades.

difference is forbidden west is actually challenging and those stat upgrades would be a lot more impactful. In AC Odyssey, once you reach a certain amount of assassin damage, you can one shot everything.

i only wish they did something about the skill points like in Horizon Zero Dawn. if your skill trees are full, you dont get anymore points. im with full on everything and have spare 76 skill points which cant do anything about it. and then the skill category always have the mark that skill are unused.

I believe with the new skills they added in the frozen wilds DLC in horizon zero dawn you could instantly get those with the extra you have so hopefully DLC a in a month or two with new skill points to spend.

Still waiting to experience those hunting grounds jobs getting closed out when I Talk to the Grounds Keeper. Same with the melee pits and all the other things that are bugged.

with NG+ there should be an option to port in your Zero Dawn save and start the game with that loadout

It states you can't change difficulty until you beat the game, but after completing ultra hard and getting the trophy, I can't change the difficulty. Does anyone know if you need to complete 100% of the game side quest, errends, etc, or did gurrilla game screw up?

God damn, I didn't know the sunwing would be unlockable instantly after rebooting GAIA in New Game+. Although I guess it's not too disappointing, because frankly I found the sunwing a little too slow for some reason despite the fact that being in the air should get us places faster than ground machines.

sadly thats even neccessary in order to min max stuff, because sadly coils n weaves, the most useful ones are all limited to get only per playstrough a certain amount of time, forcing you to play through the game multiple times to get what you need in order to upgrade everything. Woudl have been alot more fun, if they woudl have designed the Arena and Hunting Grounds to be alot more rewarding and fun to REPLAY THEM to get useful upgrade rewards. replaying a game, should always be an OPTIONAl THING, not an enforced neccessary game design, just to get the upgrades you need for your equipment often enough to have not the terrible discomfort of having to swap out constantly your coils n weaves. Its understandable, that some things should be rare, but that can be done also by not having to play through the game like a douzend times. Giving the game instead well designed and well balanced endgame content that is repeatable, is the better way of game design that doesnt feel repetitive, like forcing you to play a game multiple hundreds of hours, just to get enough coils to upgrade soem weapons optimally the way you want them to have.

That's nothing I've played the game 4 times so far both PS4 and ps5 plus new game + twice, once to farm for the legendaries and for ultra hard too, I'm baked out of horizon forbidden west now 😨😨
