Well no, FPS drops considerably during battles on the PS4 which was why I moved to the PRO. Plus the HDR support on the PRO with my LG OLED TV is worth the investment alone. Things just "pop" out

Ice is the best on most machines as it increases dmg by a lot lol . That and using triple shot precision arrows

What I did was sneak tearblast arrows on the radar first, then the disc launchers. I would tie it down with my shadow ropecaster (Yes, I didnt encounter a thunderjaw until I got a shadow ropecaster) and then repeat the use of tearblast on the rest of the components. Then I would use frost arrows with warbow to shoot the chillwater canisters, once they blew up, I would swap to shock arrows and shoot the powercells, once that is done, I would start raining arrows into the heart until its dead. ALl while continously shooting ropes to immobilize it

@sbcontt YT Indeed... Every time I ride through that border,I get chased by not one,but TWO of these buzzards. Each one of 'em has a zone. Big zones. My personal recipe for killing them takes a while,but it works: Stay put till it comes close. Shoot the Ropecaster straight away. Do NOT stop until it is down. Use that window of opportunity to shoot it's chest. Specifically. Nothing else. Destroy it while you can. No lightning bolts for this ##er. Next,evade it's attacks long enough to see another opportunity. If you manage to find a chance to shoot it's feathers accurately,do it. Tie it down again when the time comes,and use the time to shoot it's canisters. Two Freeze on the front, two Blaze on the back near the tail. Freezing is better,with Freeze arrows to save time and ammo. As with all machines, it becomes immensely sensitive. Spam it as much as you can. Blaze doesn't give much except bowing off a chunk of it's health in one go. Useful, but not like the other one. Finally, focus on the feathers. They're the only real weak points aside from the rest. Even after destroying it's electric component, hitting the chest also seems to work. Use skills frequently. That,of just pick a good Strider before you pass and GET THE ## OUTTA THERE!

It's even better to inflict freeze with freeze arrows first, as when frozen all armor plating is made null & void, meaning you'll actually do massive damage while its frozen.

That’s fine. You shouldn’t be able to kill first try. I was playing on story mode and it killed me 10 times. Just use tearblast arrows to take off his disc launcher and then when you are able to, grab it and shoot the thing. Hopefully this helps with the next thunder jaw you face.

That first time fighting a thunderjaw with no idea how to beat it is just amazing, randomly shooting arrows at it and dodging it was so much fun. I wish I could forget this game and play it again for the first time. I bought a PS4 just so I can play this game and it was so worth it

In fact,it does have a sensor. Closer to radar,actually. Whenever it finds a hunter, it will never lose them. At first, it ignores most signs from the grass as small animals except when it makes suspicious noises or it's alerted by another threat. As such,once it finds a hunter,it will always recognise their general shape and therefore, find them...

Look at the difficulty settings... it's not that hard if you can get hit by all those attacks.

@@xTGE Kinda strange tho, considering you have to travel quite a ways just to find one. Surely you passed thru a village or two on your way to buy weapon upgrades? Or fought a few beasties to gain some mods? Why the hell would you want to rush thru the game anyway? I can't stand seeing ppl play like that! It seems just plain stupid to me to play a game that way.

@@xTGE That's literally the opposite of what you said. You said that you went straight to the Thunderjaw, not that you stumbled around. And if that's true, then you must be a really, really dumb player not to have even tried to buy any of the more advanced weaponry. I mean do you even try to strategize while playing? Did you not upgrade your satchels so you could grab more loot? Did you not constantly sell your excess to the merchants scattered throughout the land? I assume RPG's aren't your thing considering upgrading your equipment seems to be a nonexistent priority for you.

skins4thewin how is it the opposite? I got presented this big open space to play around in so I walked around and I ended up straight at the thunderjaw. The concept is not that hard to understand. Why would going so deep into the RPG elements of a game only a few hours in after years tutorial had just finished be such a big concern? I clearly had 0 issues killing the Thunderjaw and taking all its loot and I didn’t need all the upgrades you’re carrying on about which would technically make me a better player than you by your logic.

Master Mind not even the normal difficulty, I don’t believe how he unattached monster weapons with only one or two arrows!!

@@M.al-qahtani it was a tearblast arrow which will do increased damage on components but yeah this is probably on easy but still if he was more aware then he could do it on hard
