@@PaulHarrell Paul, NAA revolvers compared to 25ACP autoloaders? Off the top of my head, removing the autoloading detriment from the equation MIGHT create more of a wash between the two? And FOR SURE if firing from inside a jacket pocket "Death Wish style", as you have shown in previous video. Just creating a little chatter between the two. If I had to choose one, it would be a NAA revolver with those Yellowjackets or maybe CCI Stingers if they also passed my meat test. I don't EVER remember a FTF from a Stinger. Ordering my NAA right now...

I saw a report on someone who committed suicide using a .25 ACP handgun. He shot himself in the chest 4 times. Got up, smoked a cigarette and 40 minutes later, tried again. He pumped another 5 rounds into himself and had a change of heart. He called 911. By the time EMT showed up, he was on the verge of losing consciousness. Two hours later, he died, but from shock. I'm convinced the .25 ACP handgun is effective, if you have an accurate and strong throwing arm. Still, I'd rather avoid being shot with that round. It just stings too much. Thanks for taking the time and thank you for your service.

@@cultofmalgus1310 22s get a bad rap because they are ammo picky. Find an ammo your gun like and it's not really an issue. My 10/22 likes Aguila standard. I've shot 300 roinds in one session with no failures. My S&W 22 compact likes federal auto match. I can go a while box with no failures. However, if I run mini mags in either gun they will start jamming after using the same magazine 3-5 times due to wax buildup.

Very helpful. i inherited a .25 made by a sub company of Beretta. Its good quality. It shoots good too! i suprized myself on how accurate it was at 10 yards. When i carry it, it has been loaded with hornady 36 grain xtp which im bettin' are real similar to critical defense. i have rarely carried it partly because i have no confidence in .25 rnd and second would only take it when i was trying to be as discreet as possible about carrying a gun and it is VERY concealable. Truly a palm gun and so flat and thin if you put it in your back pocket its hard to distinguish from a wallet. After getting the facts from Paul i think i will carry this gun more often.

My only 'Test' was a buddy with a .25 and myself with a 2-shot .22 short Derringer shooting into a box of Natl Geos in my apartment way back when. The .22 short penetrated better than the .25. That said, neither is my first choice but I've noticed that, when you start poking holes in people they tend to Disengage from the activity that got you poking holes into them san Methamphetamines or Bath Salts. So, my personal first choice? .45acp or .357 Magnum with whatever round you happen to have. If I had nothing but either a ,25 or .22 I would make the best possible use of the low recoil to put as many holes into the Target as possible in as shoert of a time as possible, if they did not Disengage then I would use the weapon as a Club figuring they are bleeding out and weakening anyway so I'm doing them a favor by shortening their suffering to a minute rather than an Hour.

I can think of a NUMBER of channels that would scoff at testing 25 acp ammo. Yes I prefer my 45, but it's heavy; hard to conceal on a summer day; & I try not to go anywhere I might have to use a gun. 9 is ok & my 32 is fair enough. The 25 is better than nothing & used deliberately can be very effective/deadly. Nothing is perfect, except my dog ☺

Paul's Videos are great. I don't know why he is so down on himself whenever he talks. He could review anything and could make it interesting "Today's video isn't on the range, so you won't have to deal with any gunfire. Also I'm going to be TALKING for most of the video so please bear with my Shatner esque dramatic pauses. I went to the movies the other day to see John Wick 3. The first thing I noticed was the price of the movie can vary depending on the time of day you go. Keep that in mind if you are conscious of your wallet. I told my friend I was going to go see it and he says something to the effect of ' I can't STAND those movies, they are so fake!' *dramatic Paul stare into the camera* Really? I didn't know! The ticket in my pocket, the popcorn in my hand and the lighter my wallet felt didn't clue me in that this is a fantasy! *looks off camera* No, this is a different guy who thought Star wars was real and that he was a sith lord"

The results today for .25 caliber pocket guns versus a .22 caliber pocket gun are that bullet placement in the central nervous system on a human predator is critical to stopping a threat. Probably, anyone thinking of using these firearms for self defense should consider "double tap" or an accurate shot followed up with an immediate second shot for better results. Police departments train two shots to the body and one shot to the head in case your human predator is wearing body armor. Either one of these pocket guns, should maybe have the idea of "two shots to the body" and "two shots to the head." Some people recommend shooting the threat until the human target stops being a threat. My thinking here is to conserve a couple rounds to engage a second human predator target. The problem with either one of these pocket guns, is unless you get excellent bullet placement on the central nervous system of the target, the wounded human predator is likely going to be able to shoot back at you or continue on lunging at you with a knife etc. A .22 magnum is a little better choice than either one of these guns today assuming you explore the different types of ammo, barrel lengths for the intended purpose etc. These limitations aside, a .22 LR and .25 caliber have been used and are used in lots homicides annually. So these smaller caliber pocket guns can be used effectively but you need central nervous systems hits to stop the human predator threat. Otherwise, the human predator will get a chance to get back at you because death caused by a .22 takes a while for non-central nervous system wounds. The self-defense act with either of these small pocket guns could make you a casualty without a central nervous system hit on the human predator target. www.shootingillustrated.com/articles/2010/10/26/22-lr-for-self-defense/

@@mrpibb7781 Thing that I worry about is that the skull isn't just there to give structure, it will put up a fight against a bullet. Whether or not that will actually stop it going through probably depends on the angle and of course what bullet, but nonetheless, I worry that a forehead shot with a .25 ACP or a .22lr out of a pocket gun might not successfully penetrate the skull. I mean yeah, it'll break it and even if it doesn't it'll give the target a horrible concussion but I don't know whether or not it'll actually go through and into the brain.
